nah Marathon will bury OTG. extremely interesting art style, and it will probably come out of the gate with way better balancing, SBMM, and a higher emphasis on teamwork than OTG.

OTG is already having too many issues to compete.

For no I have no interest in OTG because most of the blockhain games are bad. OTG has bad optimisation. Except for the movement and mechanics gameplay is not that great and a very few people know about the game

• Lack of SBMM or a dedicated Ranked/Tournament server list runs off many new players for this game. Once you’ve completed your Noob bot matches, you’re unceremoniously thrown into a sweatfest.

• The “free” model throttles Gunz earning and most people would rather pay $40-50 for a title than a subscription service. If you’re a Free player, you can place #1 with a high-kill game and walk away with a whopping 5 Gunz for your time.

• Optimization issues plague OTG across PC and consoles.

• Forced crossplay drives a lot of people away as cheating becomes more prevalent. PC players hate controller Aim Assist, and console players hate PC’s ability to run cheats/get outclassed by someone running a $2500 rig with unlimited framerate while their Series S tries not to cook its own GPU 🤣

• OTG’s best performing weapons are usually Premium battlepass items that are extremely rare and expensive to acquire. This element of “pay-to-win” is troublesome since you can’t even throw real money at getting the Good Version™️ of a weapon; it’s just like “come up with $10,000Gunz if you want that M4 Enforcer, big guy”

I am pretty sure OTG will end up becoming a Titanfall 2 situation.

A small dedicated sweaty playerbase will keep it alive well past its lifespan but simultaneously prevent it from growing into what it could be due to how unfriendly it is on new players.

In time that will taper off, as the best and sweatiest clans will end up having to fight each other as less and less people log on over time.

Marathon comes out in September so that’s a short window for OTG to get its crap together

If not Marathon, Battlefield 7 is coming out this year with a renewed emphasis on going back to its roots (no Specialist hero shooter BS, more map destruction) so there’s a lot of competition this year

because heads of companies keep believing the lie that has been spread for 5 years now that Extraction shooters are the next BIG thing like BR . But extraction by itself will never reach the heights of BR because it encourages slower game play by many instead of fighting many hide

Honetly why i was excited for this game because they took the good part of extraction and mixed it into a BR and took out the part that causes the slower gameplay

Too me the biggest flaw in that genre is that they somehow remove or butch completely key features of games like it. Arena Breakout, Delta Force, The Cycle.. they all copy each other and somehow leave out the good features each time

I tried Arena breakout first.. enjoyed it.. closest experience to tarkov. Then tried Delta Force. more chill but the exo suit system made it 50/50 fun for me. then Exoborne I liked cause a little bit more fast paced but the cheaters got big quick

this game was so much fun when I first started playing, then they messed with the movement which I didn’t like, but I learned to live with it. They tweaked the limbs in some good ways and some bad ways, and again I learned to live with it. The game is just stale unfortunately. The only think that kept me engaged was the potential gains from the NFT side, but even that has lost me at this point.

Clash for cash was cool - you could earn real money for being good at the game - then you realize oh actually you need 2 clan tier teammates to run with (since that’s who you’re going up against, so solo players have zero chance of ever placing), I won’t even get into the teaming accusations so this doesn’t get deleted.

I wish there was more of a focus on limb synergy. Would have been cool if the limbs were like a game of rock paper scissors, similar to overwatch where everybody counters somebody. Instead we got a round table of “let’s think of some cool limb ideas” - and were left with the ripper and slugger in the same game 😂 seriously why does the slugger even exist? They’ve done nothing to make it viable, only make other limbs less viable. You have weapons like the M4 which can beam a drum mag from across the map with zero recoil, zero damage drop off, zero bullet drop. Is that supposed to be fun? Competitive? I could go on.

The map is lifeless and boring. I was super excited for the PVE campaign mode until I realized it was just going to be the same game we have now, but with cutscenes…cool lol I was excited to explore the entire map until they released the harbor expansion and I realized it was all…empty. There’s no life. No immersion. You can fly from one side of the map to the other in about 30 seconds lol

This was the only game I could play for a long time, but when you zoom out of the OTG bubble you realize there are so many other games out there, so many new ones on the horizon, with better up to date graphics, better performance, deeper lore, more balanced game mechanics….etc. this game is getting left behind unfortunately. I’m glad others are still having fun and I sincerely hope it does well in the long term.

I won’t even get into the financial side of things because I don’t understand it and I don’t know anything about crypto, but I’ve spoken with enough people who do to have a bad feeling about the future. Really not trying to dog on the game. Have 1,000 matches played, and level 500+. It was a fun game, can still be fun at times, but there’s just so much more out there and so much more to come it’s hard to feel attached to OTG anymore.

Personally I don't play PvP much, mostly PvE, so I earn around $800-$1300 per month playing PvP and $1500 per week playing PvE. We earn engrams in the game which are later sold for money in the hv marketplace.

I play with a friend already but I need one more partner to complete the squad so we can earn more.

As for leaderboards

I was No.1 in leaderboards last season. Personally I'm focused on getting more engrams from the leaderboards and there's currently a glitch right now that makes it possible to earn more engrams than normal and I make up to $6-$7k per season from selling them.

Same here, I made up my mind back during the second Tech Test for ARC Raiders. I used to use otg as my main up until then, but I'm glad to finally have something I'm actually excited about in gaming again. ARC Raiders is it. Plain and simple.

Once exoborne is finally out of development you can check that too. You get cybernetic abilities and gliders so movement is more dynamic and it’s also an extraction shooter PvPvE like OTG was going to be.

Just from the first minutes of watching. Bots there tho are purely pve...not as players/teammates in pvp or sellers on the mp. The issue here is otg has no players and the majority of players actually ditched for arc past weekend because the game actually looks fun, rewarding and the project is listening to players.
