Ranked mode should be the most “popular” and fun game mode, but instead it’s way more boring than casual matches. If you queue solo in ranked, most of the time you find people who are AFK, and if you accidentally die to a bot beaming you with a Tacoma from 30 kilometers away, the match is basically over because one of your teammates is a bot who died right after landing and the other one is AFK.
There should be an auto-kick feature for AFK players, and teams that had a player kicked for this reason should get an extra respawn. Right now ranked matches are just a farm of bots and contracts — there are no fights, there’s nothing.
And last but not least, there should be a solo ranked mode instead of trios.

Tbf, ranked rollout has been wildly bad, a lot of people returned to try out the feature they'd been asking for for over a year, but then:
You initially needed like 10 wins to go from zero 3 to zero 2, no leaderboard, then every win was almost 2 rank ups, then the ques are/were broken making ranked feel more dead than it actually was. And the skin rewards aren't the craziest
I still play ranked, but I completely get why most don't. I think simply switching the leaderboard to ranked only would help a lot

Everything has its own priority, and in my opinion fixing the game’s problems should have a higher priority than adding a new mode. I understand that during development a thousand different issues can come up and the order of priorities can change, but you can’t blame people for quitting because they no longer enjoy the game or because they don’t like an update. Players shouldn’t be the ones forcing themselves to like the game, and every player has their own vision of how the game could improve. They probably have entire departments dedicated to studying these things.
The main problem, besides the bugs that need fixing, is that there’s nothing pushing a level 1000 player to keep playing, and there’s also nothing encouraging players to actually fight each other. In fact, as you said yourself, there are people looking for off-peak hours just to farm more easily.
It’s obvious that there’s something fundamentally wrong at the core.
In my opinion, this is one of the hardest aspects to manage in a Web3 game: people should play because they genuinely enjoy the game first and foremost, while owning items and making profit from rare items should be secondary
