IMO it would be better to burn items for GUNZ. Maybe you’d earn the value of that item based on the lowest listed price. There are probably downsides I’m not thinking of, but this way you don’t create a gambling system, you burn supply, and you get rewarded with a token you can use to buy more stuff. Supply goes down, fewer items, higher prices, and more tokens in circulation to buy them.
