Maybe add another option where instead of paying for mil access, you can "violate sovereignty"? And the AI can accept (give you mil access) or refuse and join the other side of the war? I feel like it's kinda funny how you could be a military powerhouse like France and you have to pay a OPM/OLM money to get mil access 💀 . Could make the AI accept/refuse depending on how threatening you seem and how likely the other side can win if they join the war.
#A way for large nations to get military access without paying

(For example, a mid-sized duchy could probably intimidate a OLM to giving mil access, and a large kingdom should be able to pressure a duchy into giving mil access, etc.)
Them joining the other side of the war would be used to isolate countries from their allies. You could make it a second war where the country in question can call in allies.
it kinda exists already, but comes from hegemony
and if they don't accept, you get free cb on them (don't remember which exactly tho)
Violate sovereignty is already in game and is reserved to the mil hegemon. I see so many ways of abusing the "get a CB" on the person if they refuse to just let me through.
Could add a large antagonism penalty for taking land in a war like that
Yea I just feel like a much larger country (even if it isn't a hegemony) should be able to do that too 😭
Antagonism is just a number. When you're big enough to take on a coalition who cares about the amount of antagonism you have (note I have not found the cap of antagonism if there is one but the effect of antagonism is capped at -1000).
Maybe disable conquest in this type of war?
At that point, might as well no CB the guy and siege your way through...
Stab loss tho... I think it'd be good to allow other countries to do that as well. For example it's kinda weird that only 1 country gets to do that
Could just disable conquest in peace deal with whoever you're going through
Aggressor is only allowed to enforce mil access and money or something like that
