playing as sindh, started up my own market, make about 15 duccats per month. my nobles make like 20. they build toll castles and irrigation and they are expensive to maintain. ive had runs where this problem eats my nation alive, the irrigation uses up all my tools and, combined with all the other estate buildings, starts to eat into my coffers. by mid game, im just playing whack a mole, destroying irrigation that just wont stop being built. havent even mentioned how they build it in non food rgo locations. oh, also, toll castles should only be able to be built in mountains/forrests/woods, considering thats where you cant just, you know, walk around the toll post. maybe even make them provide soldiers. in general, make all estate buildings give something, something small, but not completely irrelevantly minute like some do now.
#Estates make way too much money and then spend it in ways that destroy your country.

it happens to everyone the only op=tion is destroying stuff every 6 moths or so
Wouldn't the better adjustment be that the maintenance of those buildings falls on that Estate instead of the Crown?
It would have the double benefit of reducing their income below yours so they can't keep building stuff
Ok thats good
Yeah, this seems like a good solution.
I like the idea but how would you track, in a single location the estate built buildings and the government built ones (thinking of irrigation in a province where you want to keep it, or clergy building cathedrals you may want to keep...)
I think there would be a way of changing the expenditure of the building to apply to the estate's income in the same way as income is done
irrigations are always good even in no food RGOs and tools demand also (as long as you have iron)
