Map Stealing

Specifically, not being able to steal a map because you havent discovered the surrounding areas yet. I understand this is how it has to work for discovering, but for simply gaining knowledge about an area abroad, you shouldnt need to know about every meter of land between you and the target area.

tbh I appreciate that map theft only allows you to choose areas that border what you already know. I just don't like how hard it is to tell where an unexplored area is from just within the game

I may be misunderstanding you, but if you are attempting to steal maps, when you hover over the areas the border turns white and gives you a little preview of what you’ll be unveiling
