Some eastern male authors handle it tastefully, and middle eastern poetry largely revolves around sex and love. A lot of poets in general are male, and they're not shy in exploring sexuality.

But you're right, not many modern male authors in the west handle sex scenes particularly well. The best you can ask for is having the scene being emotionally charged usually.

Neither have I. but I don't want to discount the possibility of them existing. It's actually been a recent issue of mine, I tried to start a book club for my friends and I recently.

I quickly came to the realization that most of the books I recommended to them are on the older side, the youngest being over a decade old.

Martin is fine. His books started strong, but I genuinely believe even Christopher Paoloni ends up outwriting him by the final book of the Inheritance series.

Glad to see another Salvatore enjoyer, though I've only ever read his Drizzt series. Wonderful work, I believe I stopped around when ||Catt-Brie died.|| I never found another book of his since, I do plan on revisiting the series though.

Other two being Raistlin series, I enjoy the character complexity they have in building up a disabled wizard to becoming a great evil, as well as how they're attempting to take steps to subvert that. Series was written long before the 2000's.

And the final one being on Huma, the short novel on the Paladin that fought alongside Paladine to defeat Tiamat. It's not particularly well written, it's just good fantasy folk fiction.

Sadly most of my learning Japanese has come from the scant sit down study session, but mostly just trying to understand and looking up words I don't understand when listening to voice acting.

Listening is how I learned english anyway, so I guess it's working--but not as quickly as I'd like.

I have a theory about the Saya no Uta collab storyline.

Humour me.

We might not get Fuminori's Saya.

Instead, we might get one of Saya's children.

Let me explain.
Saya, by her own words, is essentially a dandelion that crossed dimensions to worlds that have intelligent life.
Saya only took over her earth after she was taught that to reproduce, love is a key ingredient, after she read multiple romance novels amongst the many others that were provided by the doctor who had found her(I forgot his name, but he acted like a father figure to Saya).

When Saya, finally felt the sheer burning passion of love when she protected Fuminori in the true ending of the game. She then took over the planet.

Now, dandelions reproduce Asexually. This is important as any disabilities or adaptations received by the parent plant are passed down to the offspring exactly.

This is important as this would make saya's children just like her and require love to reproduce and take over the world they end up in when they depart, just like dandelion seeds.

We can already deduce from the previous Mist Sequence Collab and interviews, that the writers have the full intention of integrating the Collab characters into Morimens.
But not only as simple units to be forgotten about later on.

Because the team wants to honour all the games/franchises that are chosen to be collaborated with.

Following the lore of Saya no Uta. It would make sense that one of her children would arrive in the world of morimens. And given the fact that she would need love to take over the planet, she would be a very safe unit to bring into the game, whilst honouring the original and tying into its lore.

But I could be wrong. And we might get one of Saya's sisters or niece who could have a very different personality all together.

But that'd only work if Urobuchi decided to work directly with the Morimens team to expand the lore, but I doubt it as it would likely undermine the mystery of the cosmic horror aspect surrounding saya's background
