Till is the correct spelling? Til is wrong. Though both are technically ok. Not sure why you want them to change it to Til tho

Using til here is clearer to understand because until the snow melts and is much less easier to confuse for tilling the fields.

I recommend using 'til instead of until because it is nuanced with current day usage. People can easier misunderstand till for tilling the fields.
