Vanguards are not actual testers, they are a reserved group which is more likey to be selected for future online testing and such when the recruitment happens.

if you know how you can also slightly undervault the cpu and that will keep it cooler... it high end enough to not make a performance difference

im hopeful for a global beta, cause from what ive seen it wasnt just good reviews from the testers in cn... 95% positive, they might still be working on story and enviromental detail and npc crowding... so a global beta is looking like a 65 - 70% chance of happening, they also really care about the community it seems so they will likely try find any and all bugs before launch, theyve been more than happy to delay the game to make sure its perfect for launch so its highly likely

there is probably a cut off with applications still open because they will use the first wave of applicants to do the online test while the other people that applied later get a chance to test new versions before their release... thats just my speculation though

You wouldn't apply for publishing rights within the year and expect to have it delayed, that just costs more money to need an extension.

Too much pessimism. The game development schedule is well within reasonable time. No indications of it being cancelled. No known reason to cancel either.

Only problem we know of is that new info is very slow to be revealed but as we've seen before, they eventually release some new footage or news after long silence.

Just wait for the ping or check back in the second half of the year. Peeking in the server for the release date every few hours isn't going to make it appear faster and I doubt anyone will miss the announcement when it does come.
