#what is the best udemy course for c++
183 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
well i rather use a video course cause most of the times i do not understand the stuff if i cannot see them
Why would you use udemy? Youtube exists
bc youtube doesnt explain well
he is my friend
i recommended learncpp.com
he said he learns better when he watches other ppl type which idk how it works but just
Udemy courses for any programming language are a scam imo
Idk I learned java from udemy they explained really well and in depth
It just depends on who u choose to be ur instructor
Don’t buy a use my course 😭
You prolly sell one xd
Man I prefer learn cpp.com too

Udemy > youtube
Learn cpp > udemy > yt
He said he doesn't like reading
Bro code and mosh do not explain good at all
But the end of the day I dont care what he goes with but ill always recommend udemy over yt cuz these people can't explain properly
Dude if u are not willing to 'open up the books' you are not going to achieve what you want. Just being brutally honest
What i told him
W explanation unc

its true that you need to be able to read docs
I told him about learncpp yesterday he read for about 10 mins then got bored started using text to speech gave up on that too and now here we are
Thing is he cant
He doesnt know anything
He only knows simple printing in python
He doesnt even know how to print in cpp
thats the point of learncpp
Yea exactly
read learncpp and try the things out locally
I gave up on helping him with finding stuff bc he always gets bored of them so u guys are his last hope tbh

maybe he should quit then
Personally, I wasted a lot of time trying to find the perfect professor, course and the magical pill that will ‘click’ things for me. Until I actually gave up on that and banged my head against the books until it made sense

LOl fair enough
then he should become a gamer and quit coding
Being a gamer doesn't get u a good paying job tho
yep
I was the same, I had to rewire my brain
You need to do that for a very long period of time
Like 1-2 hours a day of intense studying minimum. 2-3 years and u are going to be a new person
I promise
But its going to be uncomfortable, there’s no other way to change
That’s how I got the habit of exercising
Like lifting weights
Change is forced, that’s it. No magical lecture, pill or anything
when I think about it building my phisique has taught a lot about studying too
I mean there is nothing but uncomfort that brings you the results u actually want
Yea
learning coding wasnt unconfortable for me, i liked it
Everybody must erase the magical pill from their mindset
For me it was 50/50
I had to force myself to go thru boring manuals at first but now I feel it as more of a habit
Exactly like exercising
ye i was addicted to gaming too
but quit and started learning coding
started going to gym too
Especially in the beginning, you’re gonna spend 90-95% of your time reading through different stuff (other people’s code, opinions and docs) when trying to solve a problem. And that percentage doesn’t drop that much when you’re experienced. So better get comfortable and make reading a habit
Good advice, yea
he ended up going with a udemy course anyways
his decision at the end of the day
did he start watching it or did he just pay?
idk anymore bro
he paid
switched to linux
and is now using learncpp.com
axaxaxa
He quit cpp
He is deciding whether to go with roblox development or mimecraft
he decided to go with luau yes
bc cpp was too hard for him
didnt know how to print hello world after 7 days
LMAO
As a lua/luau developer it's one of the easiest languages to learn, you could probably learn the entire language in 3 months if you're a beginner, or like a week if you already know another language
There's just a lot of deprecated stuff because Roblox's API is live and they have to keep a lot of stuff to maintain the old games
I've started C++ some time ago but stopped for a long time (I'm on if statements right now)
I'm pretty sure there is a printf command in C++ now though, but I still prefer std::cout because of the other stuff that you get from cout (such as std::setprecision and std::boolalpha)
The semicolons still trip me even though i periodically practice the language, it's just weird to have it after like every line, lua didn't have that
????
bro what
in 1 minute i knew how to print hello world and im a complete beginner
#include <iostream>
int main()
namespace std;
{
cout << “Hello World” << endl;
return 0;
}

try codeacademy 11 hours course its more like text but it also includes videos and you can practice cpp in the course because they give you some tasks
Not really
Lol just started
That's completely fine

🤷♂️
He had paid for a udemy course he watched cpp tutorial vids, read from learncpp and nothing
Cpp aint for him ig
oh okay
- he is hella addicted to roblox so hopefully he learns luau
If he cant learn luau ngl its safe to say that he should focus on sum else instead of coding
Yeah I know java some python and some cpp and I can understand luau scripts easily
They have prebuilt functions for everything so no wonder
😂
Not really
same shit
@sturdy tinsel has reached level 2. GG!
What do you mean?
this one is easier to understand
or whatever
bro is not slick w the alt account 😭
It's very limited
You won't learn much
bro
you think ima learn 100% of c++ and code everything without searching something in the internet
Where did I say that?
did i say that you said that?
It looks like you don't want to learn C++ in the first place
Basically yeah
where?
Are you trolling?
nope, show me whered i say that
.
learn how to read properly.
What did I read wrong?
woah.
lets just agree that
learncpp.com is on top, and that c++ is the best
thank u
^^
im not agreeing with the first one
why
i got my own preferences?
ok
sure you do, but do i
w3schools
@odd cloak has reached level 3. GG!
ok
Learncpp is way better
Ts is in the not recommended list
Also he gave up on cpp
Tbh
Im his friend and I dont wanna be rude but like
Coding isn't for him at all
He keeps complaining abt shit he'd rather play some roblox tower defense anime games all day instead of hopping in studios
@cloud tinsel has reached level 3. GG!
who
He said he'd start learning lua 3 days ago and he hasn't even hopped in studio to print hello world
The owner of this post
Long story short he wanted to do game dev
oh shit
