didn't read the complete code, but looks like it returns 1001 because the 'm' (=1000) and 'i' (=1) --> 1001 in 'omit'

yeah I noticed after, that's my bad 🤦‍♀️
I can't run the code in my IDE because my setup is weird (I can't pass text in via prompt/getline) so I'll have to let somebody else help
