Yeah, the shiny has a very slightly darker rock/shell and the tiniest bit of pinker tone to its body.

You‘re right! I never realized that but the little chunks in the rock are greenish instead of grey

The shiny's whole rock is darker-colored. It's a bit more obvious when put next to the regular one.

And yeah, the little bits are green- good eye. That's probably an easier way to tell them apart in the photo where there's no non-shiny for comparison.

sorry but this is genuinely a ridiculous train of thought, you think that japanese player that we had to reach out to on twitter for ages is going to feel so sad that their <insert mon here> will get replaced on something they got involved to as much as just giving their permission to use the pic? if that's your vision on it i think it completely misses the point of the shiny dex together, and I think you should just make it purely with people who are/were in this server (also not other discord servers) and got involved in a much more natural/organic way (read: translating a message into japanese just to get that 3* legendary style...). That way it'll be much more in spirit of how it should be in my opinion (and yes it is a near impossible task which takes a long time but it's not about the goal cuz it's a moving target you're not gonna hit, realistically)

I get messaged by several people each time there find a shiny hoping it’s needed and that they will get to contribute again. A maybe easier way to maintain these two versions at once is, instead of removing all twitter/reddit submissions, just highlighting them in red. If a discord user posts one of the red-highlighted shiny styles then the previous one gets deleted. This is, in effect, the same as removing all old submissions but it still allows us to have a complete list of all shiny styles found to date

Having two channels for very similar things sounds like it could be annoying

Though i also don’t know exactly what your shiny hall of fame entails. Am excited to see how it turns out
