#How to determine if a player is active daily

From what I found/read online…the only way to see if a player is active is to open mail & see if new mail comes in…
Is this correct/only way to determine?

So yes the only current way is to check your incoming mail. If you think someone might be inactive you can open their research and see if it is still opened a few days later.

Well you can also check their "days played" to know if they are still playing although that won't tell you if they are sending you researches daily like the mail would

Actually that's not really much more useful since you still would have to keep track of what it was on the days before. Paying attention to that could help you avoid removing someone who is still actively wanting to play the game but is having trouble remembering to start sleep sessions and maybe they'll improve in time or they are waiting for a go++ to come in the mail

Not optimal but when I got to a point where most of my friends were at friendship level of 2, I culled anyone who was significantly lower than everyone else, since I added people in one big burst basically.

I don’t have the time or patience to be tracking mail for up to 50 friends per day, which is what led me to look at general trends and outliers

i just click through everyones mail once a week and see if any of them havent been overwritten after 1 or 2 days
