Hey, all. I've been playing for a bit now, and I saw on the subreddit that someone recommended holding off on switching to Cyan because it's harder to progress on... I essentially switched to Cyan the second I unlocked it and have not gone back.

I have 2 Mons over level 10 and I'm research rank 10 right now. I have 14% on Cyan and 16% on Greengrass. (My main team is Charmander, Squirtle, Totodile, Diglett, and Iggly for Cyan currently)

Should I go back and do more? Should folks in general stay on the early islands longer to get their Mons up before moving to the new islands? When did YOU decide to switch or go back, and why?

I didn't go to cyan until I evolved my Totodile

Ideally try and find another berry specialist for cyan too

Generally the mon you want for the locations are more common at the location. I’ve been hopping back and forth between GG and CI, using GG to try and level my TH and CI teams.
I’m planning to do my first week at Taupe next week because I feel like I have enough Pokémon I don’t think I will immediately replace. I know I’ll replace them eventually, but they’re okay enough to not throw away the investment immediately.

@fallen tree @opal cape Thank you! I'll try going back to greengrass next week and see if I can get a good totodile (i currently only have an F rated totodile).

@fallen tree You mentioned a "berry specialist". Do you have any good recommendations?

Switch when your pokedex goal is too low, making your island cap its bonus!
For example. If you are at 100 pokemon but already had 8 weeks at it, you already have 40%. So the 9th week will not make it 45%.

I see this as a “need” switch case. All other “want” switch usescases still apply before it

I feel like capping out GG % bonus early is a bad Strat, because it’s the only isle where you have a chance to level mon valuable at other islands. I think people should start bringing CI into their island rotation around week 4 or 5.
