Help! I can't log in / I'm getting a timeout error / It's stuck at loading / I suddenly have high ping / etc
The game's optimization isn't great, so even if you have good network connection, the game sometimes has trouble finding it, which can cause these sorts of errors. You can try:
- Restarting your router
- Manually forgetting your WiFi and manually reconnecting to it
- Going on Airplane mode, waiting a few seconds, then turning it back off
A lot of people were successful with using a different type of Internet connection just for log-in purposes, eg:
- a different WiFi
- 5G, LTE
- Cellphone data / hotspot
- VPN (Proton VPN is used by a lot of players here)
- DNS (Warp 1.1.1.1 is recommended by one of the helpers here)
once you get into the game, you can switch back to your normal internet connection
If you're playing on PC, try updating your graphics card.

The set has 21 items but the star wants 22 before it can be claimed. All we can do is wait for it to be fixed
Does anyone know what to do if you tried getting the Rainbow Blessing achievement and didn't get it, despite watering multiple neighbors flowers and getting the blessing twice each house.
I got it the first time last night, I just watered my neighbors plants and I used the rainbow bouquet
Heyyy, so idk if this is just me but I kinda want the devs to be aware about this? My past house foundation and my current house foundation both have the bottom of the house raised from the ground, meaning there is open place where the floor is the the ground is from the raised small wall. My pets always get glitched under this space and I don't know how to stop it from happening other than having to tear it down. Any tips?

The weather is the same for everybody, it just depends on what your time difference is compared to server time. There was a rainbow during a saturday a few weekends ago

check if you are doing "going out" activity with any of your pets.
if not, simply change town.
or turn off game, then turn on after few mins to let server see you as disconnected.

Unfortunately cats dont like to go out in general, regardless of traits. You can try maxing out the actions (pet, feed, play) and spamming the go out action, one player said that’s what they did. But it’s not guaranteed to work

Not allowed. They don’t differentiate between types of third party apps, all are banned

its an ongoing bug! don't worry, it had been reported yet and you're not alone on that. majority of people who have finished the frostpore event collection experience that 
thought there are sadly no current fixes known. the only way of dealing with it is just waiting for the next patch hoping that they'll take care of it
also if you used the search function then try looking for the reply and not only the message

Hey! I’m new to building in game and noticed I had infinite items to build with in my inventory even if normally I’d have to craft with it to gain multiple of that item. When I stop building a warning pops up that the build is under inspection and can result in a ban if I violate TOS so before I pour hours and hours into a build, is that a bug or do we genuinely get infinite items?
If its for the feeding favorite food quest, feed your cat its favorite
Blueprint mode "gives" you infinite amounts, but if you dont have the necessary items to place the entire blueprint, not everything will place. You can always check it in the cost tab and furniture. Anything thats red means you dont have enough

The login issue applies to most devices, its related to the game’s optimization. No idea on whether theyre going to fix it or not
Controllers dont work in the game, so your piano probably won’t even function. Those players are using scripts/macros to play the instruments, theyre not actually playing it themselves. You’ll need to use the keyboard/etc to play the in-game instruments
Is there any issues with SEA server lately? Stable ping is between 460-500. I'm from OCE and I did all the network troubleshooting including using a VPN (I use Exitlag). Do I just report this one and wait for any optimisation updates? 😵💫

Yea I hope so! It was higher for a few days I think initially at like 300 then jumped to 500 for now it’s just insane, I was quick to blame my own internet so did all the usual and additional troubleshooting but it’s 100% something on sea server not working right 🙈

I purchased heart gems TWICE now. I purchased them via the website because there’s a discount. For whatever reason they went to SEA, both purchases. After the first purchase, the second one I made sure the server said America. It still went to SEA. I contacted support via the app and they didn’t really help me. They just said I have to reach out for a refund, but I bought it off of them in their website. I don’t know what to do here. I responded to support telling them I purchased it directly from your website. Who else do I contact for a refund and I guess I’m just awaiting a response. Why wouldn’t they just credit the correct server the gems instead of just telling me there’s nothing they can do and I need to contact about a refund? I don’t even know who else to contact 😭

No way really? I try to always purchase directly from the apps cause they’re usually less! It’s a large discount on Heartopia website vs in app too! I’ve purchased from it many times with no issue! Just this time it’s all going to SEA server which I didn’t know was a thing till I seen people on here talking about other servers and accidentally went into it apparently when I discovered what everyone was even talking about lol. Now all my purchases go there ☠️ don’t recommend even looking at the other servers ☠️

Has anyone been kicked out of the bug events during stage three for being AFK even though they're not? I've had it happen twice now and I don't know why. I've submitted a bug report in game. I was present in the new location during the countdown timer and actively moving around. :(
I just bought all the meat I could from the cooking shop and spent most of my gold, none of it carried through. bout to get back on to see if I just needed to leave and rejoin the game but if not I cant buy meat for another 10 hours

A lot of people have had this issue with different events, I think what happened is the game lost connection with your network, which is most likely a problem with the game and not with your network
Does it ever show the three dots above your head, or does it just kick you without warning?
I can't even pet him when he's in the stoves, you can't see the interact icons
Unfortunately you’ll have to try them all individually 
Kicked without warning. I play on PC and am hardwired so it really shouldn't be my network. :(

A few people have had this issue, could you try going back out to the main plot and clicking on build mode directly from the island terminal instead of going to the island first?
Unfortunately the game’s optimization isn’t good, so even if your network is solid, the game can’t always find it. This is a problem with the game and not with your network
If you have a different network you could try, I guess you could try that, but I don’t this the community has found any temporary fixes for this yet

Help! My pets keep walking in the way of my stove, I'm burning all my food!
Pets are all very unique, so tips that work for some people don't work for everyone. My pets never get in the way of my stoves, for example. If you have a clingy pet, they will more naturally follow you around regardless, and try to get your attention by moving in front of you. Can try:
- putting your stoves in a different part of your house they don't normally go to
- feeding them/play/pet them to full so they don't bother you as much
- putting your stoves on the second floor of your house
- putting your stoves on a table so that they're elevated off the ground (pets can walk through furniture, this is intended)
- building a fence around your stoves
As a last resort, you can find someone who has stoves set out at their plot and use their’s instead

If you mean in the game, if you share a town with them, you can report them from their player card

Unfortunately the game’s optimization isn’t good in general, and the huge fancy houses create a lot of load. You could try switching to a town with less people to lower the number of assets being generated, or lower your graphics settings to try and ease the load on your device
One time I walked near a house while I was low on battery and it used up so much energy to load the house that my phone shut off
once I was charging my phone it loaded without issue

The game currently doesn’t offer transfers between servers, so the only way is to get a refund yeah. This also applies if you start a character on one server and want to switch to a different one

If you open up your tool bar, there’s a button in the bottom right corner of the pop up that will take you to a page to enable skins for tools

- Going on Airplane mode, waiting a few seconds, then turning it back off
A lot of people were successful with using a different type of Internet connection just for log-in purposes, eg:
- a different WiFi
- 5G, LTE
- Cellphone data / hotspot
- VPN (Proton VPN is used by a lot of players here)
- DNS (Warp 1.1.1.1 is recommended by one of the helpers here)
once you get into the game, you can switch back to your normal internet connection

I know there isn’t staff in here but I’m sure there’s mods at least. This server just kinda sucks imo, no one responds to anything unless they’re friends or they made something unbelievably cool. It’s kinda sad cause in game everyone is friendly. In the servers no one wants to chat :/ or even offer anything. Like I tried learning how to make flowers breed on here and no one wanted to respond to me 🥴 I figured it out on my own but it would’ve been cool if people were more friendly here 😢

Unfortunately I’ve never requested a refund through Heartopia, so I’m not sure the process for that. I know some people request it through the card/bank they made the purchase through, not sure if there’s a more direct way other than that
Sorry to hear about your experience in the server, the server is quite big so messages tend to get missed. In this channel for example, there’s only a handful of people (less than five) who regularly jump in to help answer questions, and we try our best to go through questions when we’re online. There’s more people willing to answer over in #gameplay-help , but that channel has a cooldown timer due to how fast it can go, so often questions accidentally get skipped over since messages are moving so fast. #1435807505304518686 has a lot of useful information, if you’re trying to look up gameplay questions on your own. The server moderators also aren’t the same people as the ones helping answer questions

Could be a glitch, make sure to remove anything that might be blocking you from the bed, you can switch towns to try and clear glitched actions

If you purchased them through the website, check to see if they got sent to a different server than the one you usually play on (eg if you have accounts on multiple servers). Otherwise, might need to give it a bit for the hearts to go into your account. Try reloading/switching towns to re-establish connection to the network

The game is pretty buggy, so sometimes the action bubbles simply do not want to exist 😔 Switching towns is a temporary fix for a lot of issues in the game tbh, highly recommend trying it cause it works for a lot of issues LMAO

I logged into my google (on iphone) but it started up a new progress, i cancelled it immediately so it wouldnt overwrite what I already have

I've got a question about the pets aspect.
I'm aware that once I've leveled up the pets enough, I could keep 3 dogs at home, and 5 cats at home.
But let's say I get to the point where I can have 3 dogs at home, can I board one, and adopt a third to bring home? So having 4 in total, just one being boarded? Or are we limited to the 3 forever?

yes, you can board a pet to get a new one, but you can't get the other one back into your home unless you board another and switch them out
iirc there's a limitation on how many pets you can board, so it's not infinite

it'll only make a new account if it detects a different log-in, so double check the email. if you have multiple gmails, i'd recommend trying out the others to see if any of them have an existing account attached

they reset at 6am server time. if you click on the clock in the watch, it will tell you the time difference!
if it was your first day playing the game, there are several tutorial quests that need to be completed before you can get the daily quests. double check whether you've completed all of your daily quests + gossip quests, as there's probably something blocking you from progressing into the rest of the game

Hi, myself, and quite a few others have came across the technical issue of not being able to collect the star rewards for the winter furniture. Can this be fixed?
There’s a issue with special furniture (Winter Snowscape) so it says there is 21 items to collect I have all them but the set rewards says you need 22 but there isn’t 22 items so I can’t collect my reward
Ive already done all that, but i found that its a visual shader problem in the setting i dont know if its a bug but if i set it high to ultra thats what happen white edges in water, but if medium to low the white edges is gone, my nvdia driver is uptodate so im sure its not my video card 😅

I accidentally used the crossbreeding pouch way too early for the crossbreeding quest and now I’m stuck
currently well known bug
no fix yet
you don't need the crossbreeding pouch for the beginning quest, you actually unlock it at higher levels
crossbreeding relies 100% on luck, so there's no way to guarantee it. things to keep in mind:
- do not pick your flowers, they only have a chance to crossbreed at daily reset each day, and they can only get that chance at daily reset if they're fully grown before then. leave your flowers where they are and keep watering them
- other people watering your flowers boosts your chances of crossbreeding
- one flower can only crossbreed with another, and that takes them out of the crossbreeding pool, so eg if you have 3 flowers that you're breeding together, you're going to get a maximum of 1 seed. the more flowers you put together, the more chances for seeds you'll get

I took 2 screenshots yesterday night to send for trading, today I logged in and I do the tree, I went to go open badge packs and see this. it says I have 16/21 though, which I do. they don't actually explain how crossbreeding works until you get it right first, so unfortunately it takes a lot of guess and check-ing if you don't ask the community

did you put badges at your house after taking the screenshot? the display is a bit glitchy, sometimes it's just a visual glitch that you can fix by switching towns / forcing a reload, but sometimes it's because the game doesn't detect the badges because theyre not in your back / warehouse
the concert only happens at certain times - during the first week it was available, it was happening every day, but now that it's past the first week, it only happens on weekends. it's not like the hobby events where you can start one anytime. if you click on the concert tab in the frostwave event pages, it will tell you the next concert time in the top of the concer tab

is anyone’s game dropping frames like crazy? i’m going from 240fps and it dips down to 30 fps. i tried setting the cap to 144 and 60 fps as well but it still drops frames

can you double check which stove you're using? the penguin stove by massimno in the event area will only show event recipes, you need to use a normal stove for non-event recipes (craftable in your workbench, or there's a public one near the bookstore)

The game's optimization isn't great, so even if you have good network connection, the game sometimes has trouble finding it, which can cause these sorts of errors. You can try:
- Restarting your router
- Manually forgetting your WiFi and manually reconnecting to it
- Going on Airplane mode, waiting a few seconds, then turning it back off
A lot of people were successful with using a different type of Internet connection just for log-in purposes, eg:
- a different WiFi
- 5G, LTE
- Cellphone data / hotspot
- VPN (Proton VPN is used by a lot of players here)
- DNS (Warp 1.1.1.1 is recommended by one of the helpers here)
once you get into the game, you can switch back to your normal internet connection
If you're playing on PC, try updating your graphics card.

did you top up through the website? if you have accounts on any other servers, double check whether the hearts went to that server, a lot of people have been having issue with the website topping up into the wrong server.

could someone help me? ive been trying to log in with google and apple and everything else but it literally doesnt log me in, ive tried repairing nd that stuff and it simply just never logs me in.
Unfortunately I've tried all of those troubleshooting tips before I posted again here since its my second time posting this same issue. Nothing on the list fixed the problem. Might be something between the SEA server and ours here in Oceania. Ping shouldn't be that high but I'll guess that will do for now until they fixed it again.

I think when you go to settings, there should be a section for apps? I’m not a PC user but I imagine this might vary with different PCs. You should be able to search up “how to change default browser on <your pc model>” on the internet and get some guided steps!

There's a maximum amount of people that can be in a forum thread at any one time - this is a Discord limitation, unfortunately. This means that anyone already in the thread can message in it without issue, but new people can't join in. The mods create new threads whenever one fills up, so check the title of the thread you're trying to join, and look for similar titles but with numbers (eg 2, 3, etc). The one with the biggest number is the newest thread, and is most likely still open for people to join. You can't create your own thread, need to use the pre-made ones

Fixed it by restarting my phone and reinstalling it

when you're in build mode, there should be a bar at the top of the screen thats like 101403/2395235 (made up numbers) and some text that says 'load' in it

yeah, animals are more likely to display different behaviors at different times of day, unless you have the bird whistle, which will give them a higher chance of changing behaviors

Asking here since Gameplay help might not be the right place. I was waiting for the first bug event/insect bait quest timer to finish up so I alt-tabbed to discord to ask about the onsen eggs. I dont know if this should be posted in gameplay or technical help but, Im having rendering issues. Changing the resolution or graphic settings doesnt work, deleted my shader case, reinstalled 2 times and repaired the files thrice, tried different launch options through steams property, downloaded the tap launcher and installed there still the same issue. Didnt have this before anyone know a fix.

when you came back to the game, did it try to drop you into a new town / reconnect you to town because you'd been away? the game might have detected you were afk and took you offline - and then since there was nobody 'in' the event, maybe it automatically ended? that's my guess

Yeah, it been like this since atleast two days ago. Never had this happen before, disappearing and reappearing objects happen even at close range
i'm pretty sure the game naturally does this to prevent lag, so i don't know if there's a specific 'fix' for it. you could try setting your graphics quality to high and/or changing the visual effects to high, and then restart the game to see if it has any effect. i know you said you tried changing graphics setting already though. they did an update middle of last week, this might have been one of the things they fiddled with
It definitely wasnt like this before. Ive already tried those fixes. I guess Ill just wait to see if it plays differently.

Please check for any controllers plugged in to your PC, and unplug them if there are. This can include Bluetooth devices like headsets, or any Logitech devices, or (sometimes) keyboards. They need to be fully disconnected, not just turned off. Then restart the game.
If it turns out to be your keyboard, it may be due to conflicts with default keyboard drivers being mis-detected as controllers, which the game doesn't support. You can temporarily fix this by:
- Open Device Manager on your PC
- Expand the Human Interface Devices section
- Right-click and Disable the following 2 devices:
HID-compliant consumer control device
HID-compliant game controller
This should temporarily resolve the issue

^ you can try the network troubleshooting tips too, i'm not sure if it will work but loading errors are usually due to the game having trouble finding the network, which is a game problem and not your network's problem

I’m just wondering is placing blueprints supposed to use up the resources that are required to place? For example i bought 50 dye, I placed 2 houses to show my friends and when I tried to place the 3rd I was down to 5 dye and wasn’t able to place my house. Hello, I was cooking in my friends' lot the other day, because they wanted to help me earn money and they had almost 90 stoves, so I went and did it there, but unfortunately there was an event and I was sent an invitation. there were no notes or anything that said they were on a different server, and how would I know who is in my server? It's a random server, so I clicked it because we finished cooking. We were about to claim it, but I got transported to a different server. I sent a ticket, but they said i should find it in my bag, but nooo, it's all gone. I haven't played since then. can someone help me? or can I only contact customer support? they dont seem to care.

if it's on steam they can try and launch it with dx11. They have to go to steam > right click the game n select properties > then in launch options type in "-dx11"

Usually that resolves itself after a bit of waiting. At least for me this was the case.

Hello ! I don't know why but no matter how much I water the plant, I can't finish this quest 🥲 i wanted to know if it's me who do it wrong ?
do you see how the planter already has dark brown soil? it means its already wet, and you can only water a planter once to get it wet. to get around this, you can water a neighbor's planter, because watering for others grants them a bonus that's stackable up to 4x.

So I clicked the button to get myself unstuck, and I'm still stuck and now the camera is all the way up
I know a fix for this! Get a friend to bring you home (since you cant move right now). Open build mode. Yes, it will take a MINUTE to load. Then hop out of build mode and you will not be stuck anymore. This happens when I hold my fishingrod on pc. If you dont have a friend, id say exit the game.
Visual bug: pineapple planted and once they are watered, they DISAPPEARED. but the timer is still active. I have walked around and in some angles, they appear. Others they stay gone.

Do you mean like watering multiple planters at a time? If you hold down the watering icon, at higher gardening levels, you can unlock water more and more planters at a time. I think it goes 1 space --> 3 spaces --> 6 spaces --> 9 spaces, but there's no way to switch between (so once you unlock 6 spaces, can't switch back to 3)
Should be a visual glitch as long as the timer is still there, try switching towns, since that clears most glitches

hi all! i have some purple stars I've been trying to collect for my special furniture winter edition but it wont let me click on them. I've tried logging in and out and everything-i think its a major bug
Help! My character is walking on their own without my input / I can’t move after pulling out a tool / my tools are aiming themselves on PC!
Please check for any controllers plugged in to your PC, and unplug them if there are. This can include Bluetooth devices like headsets, or any Logitech devices, or (sometimes) keyboards. They need to be fully disconnected, not just turned off. Then restart the game.
If it turns out to be your keyboard, it may be due to conflicts with default keyboard drivers being mis-detected as controllers, which the game doesn't support. You can temporarily fix this by:
- Open Device Manager on your PC
- Expand the Human Interface Devices section
- Right-click and Disable the following 2 devices:
HID-compliant consumer control device
HID-compliant game controller
This should temporarily resolve the issue

did you try all the steps? including checking for any/all things that can be counted as controllers, + checking the keyboard driver
because usually character walking by themselves is a result of a controller or some object / keyboard being mistaken for a controller
leveling up your DG level will increase bag space, you can also buy more bag space and warehouse space from ka ching i think. you can move things into your warehouse from your backpack when you're at home, to free up more bag space
Yeah I did, this has been happening since I got the game so I have been switching keyboards just to play this game😅
make sure to completely unplug any/all devices that can be mistaken for a controller, since having it off but connected will still have it get detected. the game is really finicky 😭

dont know if this is a fixable thing in game but for some reason my game has been extremely laggy this last week or two (in which i had never had issues before) does anyone know what i can check to see if its an in game issue or a computer issue? Nothing has changed to my knowledge since i started playing (day one) and id never had issue before at all

do you see how the soil in the planter is dark brown? that means it's already wet, you can't water your own planters again once it's wet. but you can water other people's planters even if they're wet, because if others water for you, there's a bonus that can stack up to 4x, so you can take advantage of this loophole to water someone else's planters to clear the quest

So, on the special furniture tab of the collection page....I have collected all the winter snowscape pieces and it says I can collect my purple stars but it will not let me click it. It glitches and tells me what purple star currency is instead. Can you help fix this. I am on ipad. Normally I just tap the star and it gives it to me, but it isn't working for this.

Im trying to complete the basic cooking course but massimo didnt give me any directions and I only have winter event recipes..
Somehow I have 1/2 done
use the regular stove (like the one near the public bookshop) instead of the penguin stove near massimo, the penguin stove only shows event recipes

Help! I can't interact with my pet because it has no action bubbles!
It has glitched on an action, as a temporary fix you can:
- go into build mode for a few seconds, move a piece of furniture, then save and exit, or
- switch to a new town to reset both of your positions back to the front of your house
either of these should clear the glitched action and let it be interactable again
Have they fixed this bug yet? For me I still can't collect
