when items get dropped in from applying a blueprint, usually they go into inventory first, then warehouse, and then i think they'd go into mailbox as a last resort. but with how buggy the game can be, especially on PC, i wouldn't rely on their failsafes too much, and make sure to clear out a little inventory space just in case

If you're talking about the first two recipes not working for everyone when the event launched, that should have been fixed last night. Note that you will only be able to cook the event recipes on the event stove (the penguin)

Otherwise, please check your mailbox + backpack + warehouse for unlearned recipes. If your backpack is full, unclaimed items will go straight to the mailbox, and if your backpack is full again when you try to claim from mailbox, they'll go straight into your warehouse. You'll need to learn the recipe after finding it in the warehouse / inventory in order to see them at the penguin stove

cats getting stuck on the roof is a known issue, as a temporary fix, you can either:

• build yourself roof access so you can reach the cat
• remove the ceiling tile from underneath it so it drops down
• switch to a new town to reset both of your positions back to the front of your house

Why does the game keep freezing? It happens when I fish and when I cook specifically. It happens A LOT when cooking and constantly have to restart the game and lose ingredients in the process.

Hello! Has anyone on PC had issues with lag and dropping framerates? My laptop is old, but still way over the minimum requirements listed on the Steam page. since the Winter Event started, the game performance on the Global server has dropped significantly.

Before the event, the game ran perfectly with no lag at all.

Now the lag has become extreme: ping frequently spikes far above 200,000, making the game effectively unplayable. Actions are heavily delayed or don’t register at all.

This is not an isolated issue — multiple players in our friend group are experiencing the same severe lag on the Global server.

The problem occurs across platforms: I experience the same issues both on iPad and on PC via Steam, which strongly suggests this is not device- or client-specific.

Because of this, it is very difficult to complete the Winter Event. Core gameplay systems are affected — fishing, cooking, crafting, and general interactions are nearly impossible due to constant lag and desync.

Since everything worked flawlessly before the event, this strongly suggests a direct connection to the Winter Event or increased server load.

Thanks for looking into this, as it currently has a major impact on gameplay and progression.

RE: pets on roof:

as a temporary fix, you can either:

• build yourself roof access so you can reach the cat
• remove the ceiling tile from underneath it so it drops down
• switch to a new town to reset both of your positions back to the front of your house

RE: pet action bubbles not appearing:

• try switching towns to reset your positions, this will hopefully reset whatever object the pet collided with and glitched into that caused the issue

I have tried every single one of those, and after a few minutes, the cat ends up right back in the roof even if I remove the underneath tiles from the roof, the cat is glitched into the side of the roof. There’s no way to get to him.

They’re temporary fixes, which means the cat will go back up and down eventually unless the devs fix the coding. The cat is locked into the floor tile that’s under the roofing, and so it’s phasing through the roof because it’s walking on the floor tile.

That’s why one of the suggestions is to create yourself roof access, so that you can go up to the roof and interact with your cat. Roof access could mean building a ladder to go up, for example

So I've been trying to figure out for a while where the game has been putting the images i've been saving from it. It says that it saves to my download directory (my pc's download folder), but when I check there's nothing there. Given, the game itself (nor TapTap) is not installed on the C drive. So i've found where it gets saved. It made a download folder on my c drive under C:\Users\ (name)\Downloads (which i had actually gotten rid of because my C drive was getting full), rather than using the default set by my pc. Hi, I’m having an issue launching Heartopia on Windows (Steam version).
The game crashes immediately on startup, before reaching login or server connection.
According to the Windows crash log, it fails inside UnityPlayer.dll with:
Exception code: 0x80000003 (EXCEPTION_BREAKPOINT)
Unity version: 2020.3.13f1
This looks like a Unity engine breakpoint triggered during initialization, possibly related to:
Graphics API (DirectX) initialization
Overlay / hooking conflicts
GPU driver compatibility with Unity 2020.3
I’ve already tried:
Verifying game files on Steam
Clearing the Unity LocalLow cache
Disabling all overlays (Steam, Discord, NVIDIA, etc.)
Forcing graphics APIs (-force-d3d11, -force-opengl, -force-d3d9)
Clean reinstall of GPU drivers
Unfortunately, the issue still happens.
Is this a known problem, or is there a recommended workaround or upcoming fix?
I can provide crash logs if needed.

Essentialy, I'd like to ask if using a digital keyboard instrument that supports MIDI notes to play instruments in Heartopia by using software that translates MIDI notes into pc keyboard keybinds is bannable in the game? I think the “go out” for cats is a lot harder to get than the one for dogs. According to what I read in #gameplay-help , need cat caring lv4-5 + it’s not possible with an unsocial cat

Are you playing on PC? Another player noted that these kinds of popups only go away if they manually click on them rather than hitting tab or something like that

😔 Each pet’s traits make them act different, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the go out function for cat just heavily depends on their mood

Can always open a ticket to see what customer support says, because pets in general are pretty buggy (getting stuck on roofs, pop ups not appearing, etc)

There are some items you can get from the event shop, but there are refreshes. Some people already bought items, so if you cant find the item in the shop, you can go to these people, click the little pop up with a basket and see what they bought, then ask them if you can buy it thru them. It costs them 30 energy so feed them after.

Help, is there any trick to cook in peace? She's blocking with her body when I'm inside the house (my pet also blocking my way) So i changed place outside which is even worse because she's using her car to block and then sending crying stickers.

Did you try verifying files on steam? Also in the main screen on heartopia theres a repair button, maybe try that and see if it helps?

Please fix the "Someone is already cooking" bug with penguin stove! It appeared when I tried to cook on Steam version of game, and now I can't cook on any event stove. I can't cook event dishes! Even stoves near Massimo don't work!

checked the map for a bit
noticed i don't have friends in town
so i stopped cooking
i moved to a town with friends around
wanted to cook again
notice in the video showed up

Trouble shooting i did so far:

go in and out of building mode
moved the penguin stoves in a different location
put stoves in the bag and back to the ground
moved map
relogin
restart game

I'm on android
using phone poco f5, if that matters.

After the winter update I skip frames left and right and so far it’s a huge chore just to do cooking bird watching fishing or insect catching.

I'm experiencing an issue/bug with the snow sculpting feature
Earlier it told me I got the 'Milu tata snow sculpture' that looks like a moose but what i actually made was one that looked like atara
And then a minute ago it said I got the 'beaver bobo snow sculpture' but I actually made one that looked like Bob
Is anyone else experiencing this? I was excited for the cute moose and beaver :((

Hello! I don't think this is a bug but intended feature! For me the one star snow sculptures look like the beaver or the milu tata raindeer, but when the star rating of sculptures is higher they look like Atara and Bob!

Just try to get a one star sculpture, and you should get the animals! (that's what happened for me)
