A few I’ve thought of while playing: 1. More hair textures and styles. Not everyone has straight or slightly curly hair and only wears a single ponytail or long/short cut.
2. The ability to recall your pets to your side. There have been multiple occasions where I cannot find my pet, or I want to interact with them, but they have the ability to leave the designated home lot to an extent, and I cannot interact until they desire to go back home. Also, them being able to go through walls and floors/ceilings is another hassle.
3. The ability to gift/trade/sell to and with friends. I’m not saying that recipes or things that allow you to progress necessarily should be allowed, but regular items would be beneficial, such as a piece of furniture maybe you received in a bubble that you don’t like and don’t want to sell it and would rather gift it someone who might want it. Water hobbies. There is so much beautiful ocean and bodies of water that aren’t being put to use! You could make a hobby out of doing sports in the water, or use it to expand on fishing and catching animals, in the way ACNH did. The point is the water should be utilized to swim and play in, or we should be able to make pools to swim in at home with friends or pets.
More friend interactions. The upgrades in emotes are cute, but I would love to see more friend specific activities or maybe boosts when you do activities with a friend. Tea parties are cute, but are basically lacking because they don’t really provide anything aesthetically through gameplay or any kind of reward system like unlocking interactions or furniture or food recipes that would make them actually relevant and worthwhile and fun. I could go into a friends home and hand them food items without needing a tea party. Maybe include like tea party specific games, or collaborative cooking, or interactive tea sets where you actually sit and pour tea and eat sweets and things.
Clothing. I wouldn’t say necessarily more options, though more types of aesthetic styles would be nice to see, but I’m leading more towards more freedom. For example, the ability to layer outerwear and a shirt/dress. Or, allowing skirts to be worn with what are considered “long clothes”, an oversized shirt.

Wheat should not take 4hrs when most the foods you can make (that actually get you good money) requires 1-2 of them. It's truly frustrating trying to farm Wheat to cook, then sell meals for special events like Rainy or Rainbow when I can only make 20 Wheat (Max 20 meals if they cost 1 Wheat) per 4 hours of the day (Having -1hr on the crop doesn't even really help either)

This game needs a building overhaul extremely bad. Coming from someone who mainly builds in this game but has lost all motivation just because the options are pretty terrible and all the houses look exactly the same.

There is one singular type of roofing, a triangle roof.
The window options are pretty bad. Why is there no small windows except a small arched one with shutters. What if I want a small square window without shutters.
Not a single door that isn’t see through, love that my bathroom is out and exposed.
Diagonal walls. These need to be a thing so many options limited by the fact you can do walls diagonally.
Not being able to place windows on roofs.
Color options (give us a color wheel if you can’t make everything have the same color swatches) trying to make things match is impossible while also extremely time consuming.
No curved options for anything. Everything is so flat and square.
Trying to overlap roofing, need I say more.
Having to paint roofs windows individually unless I place them all at one time. What if I change my mind on the color.

Since Joan suggests waiting to find the right pet to adopt, perhaps the ability that increases the selection of pets in store could be increased by small increments through petting your friend's cat or dog. Alternatively, we could "volunteer" at the pet shop daily either to pet or feed those there until we find the right dog or cat for us! That way some small progress could be made while the number of adoptable pets is increased to help us find our perfect pet match and it won't feel like we are not making any progress at all.

Training and bonding would still be reserved for once we adopt a pet.

Cloud/Star Watching - getting photos of clouds that randomly pop up as animal shapes and so forth, and getting a telescope that allows you to get pictures of constellations and you could have both of these change with the weather just like the other hobbies. You could have Albert Jr. leading it since he's always talking about making a rocketship!

Ranching - to allow people to gather materials for other hobbies plus have cute animals besides the ones around the map already... i.e - eggs, milk (turn into butter or cheese with cooking), cotton (turn into yarn for something maybe in relation to making your own clothes) They could also level this up via care for the animals like feeding them, taking care of any injuries, etc.

Sewing - Using my idea from above you can do knitting, sewing, etc. for plushies, and other clothing options which you can closely relate to the custom painting you already have in the game!

Issue 1 Build Mode Camera Gets Stuck
When rotating or adjusting the camera in Build Mode, the camera sometimes locks into a fixed angle and stops responding to input. It feels like the camera hits an invisible boundary and won’t rotate or pan until I exit Build Mode entirely.

When placing roof pieces, they don’t stay attached to the top of the structure. Instead, they snap down to ground level as if the game thinks the roof has no valid placement surface.

I think it’s a little absurd the monetary rate for large picture frames is $15 USD PER LARGE FRAME when converted. I’ve been making a ton of artwork that I can’t display, because picture frames aren’t affordable. Please make these purchasable with gold coins or make them cheaper with hearts!

For example: I’d easily be willing to spend like 8,000 coins per large frame, 4,000 for medium, and 2,000 for small- Or, 80 hearts per large frame, 40 hearts per medium, and 20 hearts per small. At this point, the game is too expensive to the point I’m unwilling to spend any money on the game since it seems pointless to spend $5-$20 and barely get anything in game for it.

Hello, I wanted to mention the furniture store not having customizable furniture. It seems like there is other color variants of furniture I see but when buying the furniture it shows you can't customize them. I have already seen quite a few suggestions to remove AI. So I will add a solution and reasons why I think the same. You can host an art competition of some sort, where people can submit art to replace the puzzles. Could be a monthly or two week event. It's not only something fun to do as a community but shows real creativity that this game is supposed to inspire. Or just pay artists like any other game. Relating to the translations, other games did not use AI for their translation, AI can be unreliable at times and it could effect communication. Please do replace it.. I understand if you won't, but at the very least, do not use AI for anything creative, like the art. It was so disappointing to find that out. I hope this change comes sooner than later.

Not just people coming over to eat the food right at that moment. I wolud like them to be able to take stuff away with them. Like a coffee so they can keep it to use later. It could have friend/multiplayer bonus, and require maybe a boom-box kind of item, but it's movable, can be placed anywhere like you need the painting easel to paint. Also could insert CDs maybe? Spring and Fall Seasons 🌸🍂🌺🌷
Since Heartopia already has rainy and winter seasons, it would be great to add spring and fall to complete the seasonal cycle. Adding these seasons would make the world feel more alive and give players a fresh experience while exploring.
Area with Cherry Blossom Trees 🌸
To add up to spring season, it would be really nice to add an area with cherry blossom (sakura) trees in Heartopia. The pink flowers and falling petals would make the map feel more peaceful and aesthetic.
Add a Pet Leash System 🐾🐕
It’s currently a bit difficult to go outside and walk around with pets since they can easily wander off or get lost. Adding a pet leash system would make walking with pets more convenient and realistic.
With a leash, pets could properly follow the player instead of roaming freely, similar to how you walk a pet in real life. This would make exploring, strolling around town, and spending time with pets much easier and more enjoyable.
Add Horse Riding as a Hobby 🐎
Since Heartopia already has hobbies like fishing, gardening, and cooking, it would be great to add horse riding as a hobby as well. Players could take care of horses, ride them around certain areas, or have simple activities related to horse care.

Currently all doors have some sort of window on them, which makes interior parts like bathrooms, bedroom or closets, etc--Seem a bit weird. Since all current doors are built for exit or entrance use, I really hope heartopia will add this. Now, with frames and arches it would benefit Heartopia building mode because it allows players to add open spaces like a kitchen without a door, or a living room with a frame to divide the other room from it. I think the game would be much more interesting if there were more shop options available and more roof customization options for houses. Having different types of stores with more variety would make the game feel less repetitive.

Many Brazilian players were sad because they really wanted the pink furniture but couldn’t get it. It would be great if there were an option to choose the color of the furniture. Another interesting idea would be allowing players to buy an item and then change its color later, which would make customization much more flexible and enjoyable.

After completing all the missions, the game can start to feel repetitive, with players mostly farming and participating in events. Adding these customization options would give players more motivation to keep playing and improving their homes.

In addition to that, having more interactive mini-games inside the game would be amazing. The puzzle game is really fun, but there should be more games like that so players can play together with friends and have more social and entertaining activities.

Allow for interacting with stoves or planting even if a pet is in the interaction area. I've lost cooking dishes due to pets being in the way, not allowing me to interact with the stove. It's also a bit annoying if my pet sits or lies down on the plot I am planting crops on.

Since Heartopia already has rainy and winter seasons, it would be great to add spring and fall to complete the seasonal cycle. Adding these seasons would make the world feel more alive and give players a fresh experience while exploring.
Area with Cherry Blossom Trees 🌸
To add up to spring season, it would be really nice to add an area with cherry blossom (sakura) trees in Heartopia. The pink flowers and falling petals would make the map feel more peaceful and aesthetic.
Add a Pet Leash System 🐾🐕
It’s currently a bit difficult to go outside and walk around with pets since they can easily wander off or get lost. Adding a pet leash system would make walking with pets more convenient and realistic.
With a leash, pets could properly follow the player instead of roaming freely, similar to how you walk a pet in real life. This would make exploring, strolling around town, and spending time with pets much easier and more enjoyable.
Add Horse Riding as a Hobby 🐎
Since Heartopia already has hobbies like fishing, gardening, and cooking, it would be great to add horse riding as a hobby as well. Players could take care of horses, ride them around certain areas, or have simple activities related to horse care.
This would add more variety to hobbies and give players another relaxing and fun way to enjoy the game.

We should be able to unlock any clothing to design so long as we own a piece of that clothing first. But anything from banners should be left as they are of course.

So items like "Loose Arm Warmers", the "Frostland Cold-Proof Tights" which are an open-healed stockings, the "Lotus Dress", berets, bandanas / headwraps, these are all items that pop up in Dorothee's shop that we should also be able to design. As a cat person, I low key hate how we need to clean cats the same way we clean the dogs. Cat are self-grooming, that's like half of what make cats so different from dogs. They clean themselves and then they throw up furballs. I would much rather us have to clean after furballs (like we pick up dog poo/fix furniture) than BATHE our cats. It feels rediculous to me 😭 maybe if the "cleaning" was shown as brushing them (so we'd get less furballs) I'd get it. But cats famously hate being wet (of course there are exceptions but this is more generalized)

I have already submitted a feedback suggestion through the in game support system, but will like to reiterate my request for the removal of the Generative AI images used for the puzzles (and any that may have also been used for the deco wall art pieces) and replaced with human drawn/designed art. As the puzzles have a whole dedicated dream quest and one of the main focuses of the game is building and decorating our homes, it is nearly impossible to ignore these Generative AI assets. And considering Generative AI models were made from scrapping and stealing art from real artists without consent or credit, the use of these seems to go against the heart of the game (creativity and expression) and the morals of much of your player base. In Animal Crossing you could only do this at the beach, but you could make it possible in rivers too. It would also serve as another activity to do in the game.

Swimming pools:

I want my house to have a swimming pool. It would be great to implement it with the swimming feature I just suggested.

Fainting

Imagine that when your stamina drops to 0, you faint like in Harvest Moon, wake up in an infirmary, and are charged a percentage of your money. This could motivate players to be more mindful of their stamina.

Usage for bizarre mushrooms

It's weird that even though they're rare, you don't feel good when you get one, because they have no function. I understand they're poisonous and you can't eat them or use them in recipes, but you should at least allow players to be stupid and do it. And if they eat them, it should reduce their stamina by a variable amount depending on the bizarre mushroom. Even so, they still don't have a real function. They could be used as materials for crafting potions that provide different boosts. Cool idea, huh?

Something needs to be changed with hobby upgrade tickets... as it stands, you will run out faster than you level up your hobbies and that would be annoying on its own but you can literally cap it and not earn exp anymore... so then you get punished for doing it when there are still levels left

Ideas are:

Other ways to earn hobby upgrade tickets/more ways to be available
just be able to level them if you hit the cap and no longer earn experience or remove the cap
new fish/bugs/meals/anything that has time limited stuff (ie: events or weather or etc.) should not be locked to levels... make the upgrades solely better star ranks and tool durability rather than locking what you can find or do

I love love love being able paint/sew clothes and furniture but I really wish there can be a sort of smoothing function added so the pixels aren’t so obvious. It can be a toggle so if someone still wants a pixel-type outfit they can have it but for so many other small details a smoothing function would be so awesome (take animal crossing for example, the pixels get smoothed out and it makes the clothes look SO good.)

I completely understand not making it too OP and limiting the available models, that’s fine. Maybe there could even be premium clothing patterns available for gacha or for purchase with gold/other currency, maybe on a monthly refresh so it doesn’t affect outfit gacha too much.

It’d also be nice if it were easier to kind of share patterns? Idk maybe players can trade them; it’d also make painting clothes/furniture feel more interactive with others and give a gold source for those who like drawing clothes/furniture/painting
