I really wish there were more options to share things with other players that are not on your friends list and friends in general. Because right now you can only share food with each other, at least that’s what I can do right now. I wish there is a way I could share some of my four star tomatoes, or even something like some wood or fruit. In case another player is low on some.

I think it would be cool to have more quests with friends as well, but I’m also saying this because me and another player were chopping a tree and I ended up picking all the loot and I felt bad because I couldn’t give her any of the stuff she probably needed.

Especially when I want to mail a gift to a friend, it doesn’t let me mail anything and just says there are no gifts available, I wish I could mail items as little as wood or fruit, I think that would be really fun!

I wish we had better/more in depth daily quests and quests that aren't limited per day.

It feels a little lacking. I don't really enjoy how you're 100% limited as to how many quests you can do a day, personally I would prefer if we also had little quests with minor rewards that refresh when completed (a little like animal crossing nook miles where you get minor requests to catch 3 bugs, 3 fish, speak to villagers, etc.) As someone who can sink a lot of time into a game I feel I will quickly move onto something else if it's this limited!

I suggest changing the way that players are able to look around/change their view on PC, it is super glitchy and often you need to click several times to simply move the camera. I would suggest allowing players to use the < > keys perhaps? Something, please. It is super frustrating and I do not want to have to hold down my middle mouse button the entire time I am playing, especially since that does not always work either and it starts to really hurt afterwhile. Also this and other aspects make it feel like this is a game that was meant for playing on a phone and not a PC???

I actually have a gatcha system suggestion. So the gatcha isn’t really fully achievable w/o paying. Which I understand game needs to make its money. My suggestion is for a way ftp users can make tickets. Maybe a once a week quest that gives X amount of tickets? And if anything only enough tickets to get one of the variants but have to purchase more to get the other type. That way ftp users can still get the set, but there’s still an incentive to make a purchase. Plus there will always be people who just buy all the tickets they need first day of the drop.

Another gatcha suggestion would be special events where old gatchas come back for a time so that people who couldn’t finish it or new players have a chance to obtain them.

As an unemployed college student this would be a great opportunity for your players who currently just can’t afford the micro-transactions. I’d love to support the game and get the membership passes as well as buy the special sets in shop when I have the money. Studies show that if people genuinely enjoy and want to support a game they will when they have the means to do so.

I believe having a ftp opportunity for the gatchas would help push that. As well as put the game in a better light for being friendly to ftp users. I think it would help curve any animosity towards the game having a gatcha system (which is usually what gives some games a bad rep).

I would love for their to be a way to continuing leveling up even after finishing the days tasks. I find myself playing for 10 minutes and then feeling stuck because I can't level up anymore. If there was a way for doing a lot of basic tasks could add up somehow slowly to help contribute to leveling up, or even a thing of time spent in game tranfers into helping level. Because if you miss one day you fall behind in the game for a whole day or two sometimes and it makes it hard to play more since it just gets repetitive after maxing the amount of leveling you can do that day.

It would be really nice to have cross server play since this is a hangout/social game and it's terrible when you're not in the same zone with your friends!

I think it would be amazing if Heartopia had a universal house gallery where players could share their builds.

Players could visit the gallery and copy houses or rooms made by others and place them in their own world.

Not everyone is good at house design, and this feature would really help creative inspiration, make decorating easier, and let talented builders shine.

Overall make the building system more intuitive
Give the NPCs more life and have them have a schedule.
Make more buildings enter-able, add NPC homes and interiors.

I realize some of these things might be coming in the future, but the game is lacking a lot of life and feels unfinished in specific ways, but the game itself is beautiful and I’d love to see more of it <3

gacha! let players acquire a rolls through quests/events. it's a free game, so i understand you need to make a profit out of it, and we already have dorothee to be our fashionista — but f2p players want to look cute and show off too! if not that, then give players the chance to get some of the cosmetics/furniture for free for a limited time (events). locking most of the cosmetics behind a paywall would affect the game negatively in the long run.

I think Dolphins and Seals could be cool as an interactive pet like the Panda, Fox, etc. I also think a Snorkeling feature would be cool. Earlier today my partner encountered new players who we befriended out of pure intention who quickly crossed boundaries by harassing others using dating requests, inviting random players to their homes, and using very suggestive language and sexual innuendos. That is a serious red flag, especially for a game that clearly appeals to minors.

I want to be very direct here. Without age verification and strict language controls, this will damage the game’s reputation early. This happened on the SEA server, but it will happen everywhere. We blocked and unfriended them, but the risk is still active since they are paying players.

I strongly recommend urgent action. Add age verification, enforce stricter chat filters, and include clear reminders about respectful behavior. Even cozy social games need firm lines.

One more concern. For minors new to gacha systems, addiction is real without supervision. A visible, friendly warning would go a long way in showing responsibility and care. Perhaps enforcing a verification before payment.

I would like to have a storefront (use the mailbox) so that we can sell things we do not want and have another source of income. The pricing should be based off what it is currently worth in the og stores of course plus a multiplier if possible, that way passerby’s can buy something that is not in the stores or that they cannot get. It can be food or furniture, bugs and fish, or something someone crafted themselves like a clothing item. To avoid jumping the gun on the hobby buys, it should be filtered to what the player already has access to.

There is a game I play that allows us to watch YouTube videos within our homes. How this works is we are able to place a television that is programmed to accept YouTube links and it is synced up and played throughout all screens within the house that allows it. Considering this is a life simulation game and all there is to do at the moment is grind for gold coins, it would be a nice feature that could be added in order to have people stay in game more to just chill and hang out. With chat messages being so limited, sharing a laugh at a scene or crying or being surprised would be easier than having to type non stop a new message just because one ended. It would be even cooler if the game could program not just YouTube links but just any url in general. I feel like this may be used to help people engage in the game more with socializing or having parties. So far it is grinding for coins or hopping on for a few minutes just to finish daily requests. Please look into this! I would really love it

I want to be able to make my friends and I matching outfits and give friends custom photos they can display in their homes. You could make this option sharable via mail/gifting or allow the original artist to determine if it’s publically downloadable, just sharable via friends, or kept private (unshareable). If a custom image/design is shared, the shared image is labeled with the IGN of the artist to avoid art theft (ex; “‘Cow Pasture’ by Nettris” “[Design Name] by [IGN]”). This way, account safety shouldn’t be an issue (or much of one anyway) not every player wants to make designs/artwork themselves.

this is less of a suggestion for the game and more for the discord. i know there’s a find friends channel, but i think specifically an introduction channel would be nice. people can post intros about themselves and say anything about themselves that they want (within the rules ofc) and others can dm them if they want to be friends and play together. a bunch of other games i play have intro channels in their discords and it’s really helped me with finding friends to play those games with, and i feel more comfortable interacting since they know stuff about me that i feel is important to know (like that i have social anxiety, im autistic, my age etc)

and for some people, including me, the find friends channel can feel overwhelming and stressful, especially with social anxiety. just looking at it was overwhelming for me. the faster, more back and forth format makes me freeze up. but just posting an intro and replying to others in dms at my own pace feels less stressful to me. because an intro post lets people put themselves out there without the pressure of immediate replies, and it makes starting friendships feel more natural. i’ve seen this work really well in the other game discords im in, it’s been one of the easiest and least intimidating ways to meet people

this will allow legitimate users to use images, as images from scammers might become such a big problem that disabling image uploads is needed

the biggest issue with this is it's confusing to new users trying to post images of issues they are having, but it might only be the only long term solution

scammers rarely have any chat history and are almost always newly joined users who just try to spam any files or images to every channel they can

the rank needed doesn't even be high, these scammers don't bother with attempting to rank up as they are usually automated

I would like to suggest implementing a player-to-player trading system that would allow us to create personal shops. Currently, the cash register only works as a tip box, but it would be amazing to use it (or add a new item) to sell items directly to other players.

PROPOSAL:

Allow players to place items in the cash register/shop with set prices, where other players can automatically purchase them using their gold.

BENEFITS FOR THE GAME:

• Role specialization: Players could focus on specific activities (fishing, cooking, farming) and sell their products
• Access to exclusive items: Possibility to buy furniture from past events or rare items from other players
• Increased social interaction: Would encourage visits between players and create an active community economy
• More content without grinding: Players who don't enjoy certain activities could buy those resources
• Dynamic economy: Would create a real marketplace within the game

SUGGESTED BALANCING SYSTEM:

To prevent cheating and maintain a balanced economy, I recommend implementing minimum and maximum price limits based on item type/rarity. This would prevent players from gifting gold to friends or selling items at unrealistic prices.

POSSIBLE CATEGORIES:

Common items: low price range
Rare/event items: high price range
Exclusive furniture: premium range

I'm an Android player and I'm having a lot of trouble with the camera system. To use an emote, I have to open the menu, but then I have to close it to take the photo. The UI animation takes so long to disappear that my character finishes the emote before I can snap the picture.

It's even worse with other players. When trying to do a high-five, the character often moves away from the camera angle I set, ruining the whole shot.

Another problem is that characters can't stand close to each other due to the bumping or put their arms around one another. Because of this, it's very hard to make it right in the frame.

The game is beautiful and I want to take a lot of photos, but the current photo taking system is umm... Please fix this.

Give all gacha banners fixed prices rather than increasing prices every pull. If you were to try and get all items from the banners and you don’t get lucky it can cost you up to 200 dollars per banner and even more depending on if you want all the color options (this is if you decide to spend money on the game because if you don’t it’s highly unlikely you’ll get much of anything from the banners). Another option could also be that you increase the amount of pink hearts and blue hearts a player can get making it easier to collect items you want (for pink hearts this could be like increasing the amount you get through memberships and for blue hearts increasing the amount you get through certain quests). A third option could also be you lower the price on the gacha banners, again, making it easier to collect the items you want.

Request for Cross-Region Play or Character Transfer

Hello Heartopia Team,

I really love Heartopia and have been enjoying the game a lot. One thing that has been difficult, though, is the server region limitation.

I live in the United States, and my friends live in Europe. Because our characters are locked to different regions, we can’t play together unless one of us completely restarts with a new profile. After putting time and effort into our characters, this feels really discouraging.

I wanted to kindly ask if you would consider adding one of the following in the future:
• Cross-region multiplayer (global servers), or
• A character transfer option between regions, or
• A one-time region change feature

Being able to play with friends across regions without losing progress would make the game much more social and welcoming, especially for international friend groups.

Thank you for all the work you’ve put into Heartopia. I really enjoy the world you’ve created and hope this is something you might consider for a future update.

Heartopia has a pleasant artistic direction and a clear intention to offer a cozy experience. However, after several hours of gameplay, a major issue becomes evident: the world lacks life and meaningful player engagement.

Quests that are overly guided and lack involvement

Most quests follow the exact same pattern: follow a star-marked path, talk to a character, perform an action, and return. Even when quests are presented as puzzles—such as Patti’s riddles or the mysterious letter—there is no real investigation, challenge, or thinking involved.

For example, in the quest involving the “mysterious” person located northeast of the village, everything is already revealed: the exact path, the location, and even the appearance of the supposedly mysterious character. Even if a puzzle is meant to be simple, players should be allowed to observe, search, and deduce. This sense of discovery is essential for immersion and satisfaction.

Villagers without depth or purpose

Interacting with villagers unfortunately has no real value. Dialogues do not expand the lore of the world, reveal character personalities, or show relationships between inhabitants. In many modern—and even older—games, talking to NPCs provides:

world-building and lore,

personal preferences or backstories,

side quests or hidden interactions,

opportunities to build relationships.

In Heartopia, these elements are missing. The villagers feel static, disconnected, and lifeless, giving the village the impression of a world without a soul.

A gameplay loop focused only on work

The game quickly gives the impression that working is the only meaningful activity. Since dialogues have no impact, players are encouraged to skip them entirely and return to the only system that feels rewarding: material progression and customization of the character and home.

The issue is that once players reach a character and house they are satisfied with, there is nothing left to live or explore. Without relationships, stories, events, or surprises, the game rapidly loses its appeal.

Comparison with other games in the genre

It is difficult not to compare Heartopia with established cozy or life-simulation games:

Stardew Valley, released over ten years ago, offers a living world filled with meaningful characters, evolving relationships, secrets, and genuine involvement in village life.

Genshin Impact, while very different in genre, provides characters with depth, side quests unlocked through dialogue, and subtle details such as children playing games or interacting with unusual objects that later reveal themselves as easter eggs.

These elements create the feeling that the world exists and lives even without the player’s direct intervention.

Untapped potential

Heartopia clearly has potential, but it currently holds the player’s hand too tightly and sends a clear message:
“Work. Everything else is secondary.”

A cozy game should instead invite players to:

live within the village,

engage with the community,

explore, search, and understand,

give, learn, and build connections.

Conclusion

Heartopia does not lack good intentions, but it lacks a living soul.
Without meaningful interactions, engaging quests, or believable inhabitants, the experience becomes a list of tasks rather than a world to inhabit.

Giving players more freedom, reducing excessive guidance, enriching dialogues, and assigning real roles to villagers would dramatically improve the experience. Players do not just want to work — they want to live the game.

I would like beekeeping to be the next hobby added to the game, for obtaining honey. Or we could have a farm life, raising cows and chickens to obtain resources like milk and eggs.

This could be a future expansion of the game, a mega update, bringing new themed clothing like cowboys and farmers, as well as themed furniture and recipes. New blueprints to use in building farm-themed houses. It could be an expansion for the spring or summer period, increasing the level cap for builders with new rewards.

Another suggestion would be about private parties: How about adding sound systems to the game, such as radios or speakers, or DJ stations? With various exciting songs to liven up the party, with options for techno, rock, pop, etc... If possible, add new dance emotes.

Another suggestion: Make refrigerators functional storage units where we can store ingredients and food, to keep the inventory cleaner.

I haven't play beta test for longer than 2 days so some of these might have already been in game, or if maybe I missed anything, but in case they aren't there yet:

In build mode, it would be nice to have an option to color building materials before placing and the next ones placed should be in the selected colors.
There are already some fun things to do with friends but I just wish there were more scattered around town — chess games, ice-skating during snow, bowling places, garbage hunt to then submit it for recycling, and more.
It would be fun to do part-time jobs as well! For example, make Massimo's store more like an actual restaurant where we can not only buy foods and ingredients but also be a cook/waiter. Volunteer to sew at Dorothee's, help Atara with town things, etc. We do it in a separate mini game section. Make the time flexible but limited to (n) times a day/week and we'll be getting paid with gold. 😁
Some of us have reached the level to make paintings/furniture/clothes. But specifically for clothes, I think it would be fun if theres an event where we can design something and have our character walk a fashion runway 😂 then have all the attendants vote and the winner will be gifted gacha balls.
Mining site please... 🥹 One of my favorite thing to do in farming sims is mining so having so many different ores/minerals to display/craft with would be amazing!

make vehicles go faster as it’s currently way too slow when having to commute back and forth.

An abitly to have "Pet Birds" like parrots, cannaries, doves etc. and "Befriended Birds" like crows or wrens.

A Pet Bird is one from a pet shop, that lives in our house and we have to take care of it.
A Befriended Bird, is a wild bird that trust us after we feed it enought times. It can fly to us when we are otside and do certain things like sitting on a bench, when they could perch on us (like the one with Blanc) or bring us small gifts etc.

I also think that we should be able to turn certain birds (specifiaclly doves and pigeons) that are wild to the "Pet" status, since they're already domesticated.

For birdwatching, when looking through the binoculars there's a symbol like a tick or something next to the name of the bird when you've already photographed that bird. Similar to pokemon, when you've caught a mon there's a pokeball symbol next to it's name to say it's been caught.

Idk if anyone has requested this already but it would be fun if the npc characters had more dialogue and you were able to gain friendships with them by either gifts or more conversations with them when you visit them or when you do their daily request and have a way where you can request them to visit your house or both the player and NPC can send letters to each other mainly saying this for people who are too anxious to make friends or don't have any and they won't feel alone to much in the game! Locking more bird/insect varieties behind levels is not fun. The whole point of games like Animal Crossing and etc is that there's a wide variety of different creatures to look at and collect. Making it so you need to grind out levels by catching/watching the same varieties repeatedly is dull and monotonous.. I get that there needs to be an incentive to grind out the levels but this ain't it chief. It's especially bad in birdwatching's case since it's slow and awkward. At least with bug catching you can just run around and spam catch bugs.

Pease fix and make it so when not playing the game after an hour, that energy and or tools are fully charged.
It can be extremely frustrating when having to juggle all hobbies and gathering which takes more energy than gain. Sleeping is extremely slow for energy building.
Takes so much to make food just for energy.
Same with tools! Super expensive to charge tools and buying is [#1](#suggestion message) when burns energy just to build tool recharge boxes.
This seriously needs to be fixed in the game. Having use so much energy for doing things just for the very tools an energy the game is based on? Gets very excessive as well annoying. Please fix this problem so game isn't such a struggle to do things. Takes everything to use energy, spending more than gain even for tools.

Give us a hobby where we’re given a woven basket for picking fruits & berries.
It’s really grindy only being able to get 1 fruit & 1 berry from trees/bushes at a time. And for trees no one’s attacking a tree with an axe for fruits! Well we are… but we shouldn’t be!! It already plays into the game well under its “you need to let the tree rest” well wouldn’t it make more sense if we wanted fruits specifically or berries specifically wel’d pick them? HALF ROOFS because i get so annoyed with the clipping if i want to have multiple floors varying in size. 2. the ability to change the wall on the roofs. 3. Additionally, the overall progression feels excessively slow. For example, it took two full days for my dog to master the “seeking” skill. Make it so starting an event doesn’t go up in increasing cost. Sure it’s “cheap” compared to other things in the game but it’s something you can do multiple times and there’s even achievements you can get only from doing them. But the cost to host one goes up every time you do it for the week before it resets. And honestly? The events don’t run long enough nor are the fish, or bugs, or birds, really WORTH the price it is to do it more then once a week, which is sad cuz personally I really enjoy the fishing aspect but even for me it still feels like I’m using a lot of money on the off chance I’ll make it back, but that only applies to fishing because I can’t make back what I pay for the other two events. It’s grind then minor break and victory then grind, I’m down for increasing the price the more you use it but maybe start it off at like 1000 coins then 1500 coins and up like that, especially for the lower fishing levels.

For the clothing custom (which is great btw) :
Being able to retouch the clothing shape by cutting in it with a scissor tool (to make a wrap over top out of a sweater, make a custom neckline) or modifying the circumference and lengths of parts (for example, to make the sleeves more puffy, adjust the skirt’s length). The price of certain tasks in game shouldn’t become more expensive the more you do them. This counts for player events and for the gacha system. It feels incredibly predatory, especially for the gacha system where you’re expected to spend real money since the game doesn’t give out the gacha tickets for free. It very quickly jumps from having to spend $5 to cover the cost to $10+ as more turns are spent.

I am aware someone said this already, but i want to emphasize the importance of re-working the hoppy upgrade system. Now, as it is with the tickets, once you run out it really deincentivizes you from continuing to play the game. There are only 5 daily quests, and once you run out all you can really do are the hobbies. Without upgrading your hobbies the game feels so stale and agonizing, like grinding almost. After maxing your points, there's not even a purpose to the grind.

Adding Usage to the in-game Cash Registers

⤷ Currently they are just like piggy banks, but it'd be nice if we can use them to actually sell stuff we make. Like selling produce, flowers, furniture, books, food, etc.
⤷ Also possibly selling the clothes/paintings we make.: Or have the option to sell them as blueprints for others to buy, to create it themselves. I think the sellers should have the option to opt in/out of it being able to be "re-dyeable" or have their customers be able to edit the blueprint. As I know some would prefer it not to be edited, to protect their art, but it'd be nice to have the option to allow editing.
⤷ Price/Profits: As of right now, you don't make a profit from people buying your books, but it'd be nice to make some profit through the register. Like 50-75% of the profit to be kept.
⤷ Where to buy: People can have their cash registers outside of their home, and people could click on them and browse through their shop.
⤷ Setting the Price: To avoid unfairness, the Devs can make a price range per item being sold. Like a sweater could be $3000 to $5000 (Just going off the prices at the clothing store). Cheaper if it's a less decorative design, and more expensive if it's more detailed, but within the set price range given. & For the produce/fish/bugs, depending on how many stars of quality the product is, it could be pricier, but at a SET PRICE.

please tweak the censorship filter for the chat in the game. apparently we are not allowed to say the word gay as it is a censored word in the chat. gay is not an inappropriate word to say as it is a word used to describe someone's identity and experience, i understand in some regions that have heavy censorship laws they do not allow content to have gay or LGBTQ explicit things, but even in the america server, it is censored. i highly suggest and hope this will be changed in the future. it is astounding that some cuss words are allowed but gay isn't.

Since there's only 5 orders (and some quest can't be completed without those materials, most of those are only appearing if you haven't mine or chop it. (like roaring oak timber, and flourites)

Roaring oak timber's and fluorite's (especially if there's a lot of material that are needed and has a long hours of cool down) cool down should be only an hours or minutes (so we can complete the quest within the day)
Since there's only 5 orders that can earn a lot of coins and some of the people can complete all of it within the day, maybe the game should prolly add working as chef, cashier, barista, and office worker and etc. while earning coins, wishing star, and diamonds. (I personally think it will be more fun if they can add those jobs)
Of course people can also be bored in game, so I think the game should prolly add mini games (like horror games and etc.)

The ability to earn gold when selling books or music.

There should be a base amount of gold that you get every time someone purchases your art from the bookstore or music store. Also, if player really like the book, they should have the option to leave a like. Every x amount of likes should provide wishing stars or even blue hearts. If a dg member really truly likes the art, then they should have the option to leave a superlike, where the creator gets a premium currency such as a blue heart, red heart, or even an acorn pass for the gacha.

There should be a limited number of likes per week that a single player can give, and since premium currencies are how the game makes money, superlikes can be that the dg member giving the like is essentially gifting one of their premium currencies (ex. 1 red heart) to the creator. That way it's the same amount of actual money spent going to the creators of the game. (This also makes it more likely people will spend money on the game, as they may want to support fellow creatives or, after earning a gacha pull based on their work, may want to go ahead and purchase more to fill out the set. So it's a win for all.)

I was thinking more roleplay features so we can roleplay more and not just do quests. Maybe some wedding features parties, etc. be abl to raise a family a with your partner (maybe it doesn’t have to be a real player idk) I feel like kids in this game would be cute. Also more building items that we don’t have to pay for/we could earn as I feel we can decorate more without worry of money or unlocking things. I definitely need more furniture. Jobs would also be cool as we could sell our clothes, maybe even books or paintings. Anything we could make via game.

#suggestion I have some suggestions for the server: the ability to offer house and equipment design themes with reviews. A shop book with discounts, whether it's a fashion category linked to the season or world events: traditional outfits from different countries with character presentations in model poses, and similarly, a furniture category with themes: houses created by residents for players to buy, or creations made by the developers with small decorative accessories and furniture added. Clothing store: would it be possible to add a timer to let us know when we have time to buy outfits? I'm always late buying several outfits because the selection has changed. (The idea of a book-shaped advertisement arriving in our mailboxes with news about new releases in the store would be cool.)

Please put a real time clock somewhere while playing, also money

please make the jump button more comfortable, I keep pushing jump when I want to slide the view

plase put a some kind of clear area when we want to rebuild the house (or there’s actually there I dunno 😭) like “X” to make the land empty all at once. And don’t forget to put undo and redo for this.

I want to put the pattern and color of the wall & floor comfortably, not like aiming one by one 🥲

i dont know if anyones ever suggested these but i feel like it’d be some nice features.

make a marketplace where we can sell our painted/pixel art designed shirts to other players or have a stand we can make and set up a “shop”
for the cash register i feel like there should be an “amount” feature so people can tip any amount they would want.
extend the player amount in the servers if possible, 12 is fair but i feel
like its a bit harder to run into anyone or have a social gathering with just 12.
maybe add trading
different sized fishes and rarity/prices for them.
nearby text chat or global chat, instead of adding everyone we can see everyones chat without having to friend them.
make everything paintable, more customizations when building such as width adjuster or size adjusting for a platform, lets say the floor for an example.. if you want it to be a bit thicker or a bit higher you could, to make little platforms. have options for certain furnitures such as opening windows, adjusting the size of windows.
a remove all buttton when editing your home so you can restart instantly but make sure its followed up by a “are you sure?” so we dont accidentally remove our homes .
a variety of styles that we can paint, i feel like just being able to paint 1 specific shoe kinda gets a bit repetitive, maybe add a variety of all the models in game so we can get more creative same goes with other categories (shirts, pants, dresses, etc)
