my current theory for IN is the original intro is what the og nikki (gonna call her nikki prime) went through. something happened to lead to catastrophe, likely relating to some kind of creative block causing a magical overflow with the heart of infinity. we are now playing as a different nikki that has been pulled into the nikki prime universe to correct the timeline and prevent total doom. to buy time with the heart of infinity it makes sense nikki keeps hopping to other universes with her star sea access and therefore subjecting us to filler updates.

lmaooo I lovee this theory, I hope we do get like an ACTUAL ANSWER for the story from them at some point bc a part of me is worried that they'll always leave Nikki open-ended and up for interpretation, it's not the worsttt thing bc we have so many cool theories tbh like the one you're talking bout, but I wish we could genuinely find out how all of the Nikki games connect together and Nikki's chronological timeline to finally add up

but like if they give us those answers and do a final story chapter in Infinity Nikki, the players who play for the story may drop it/get mad there's no new story chapters and that's understandable, but as of now it seems the story feels endless and open ended to me lol I wish we had an end in sight at least

That’s absolutely normal. I still get dreams from workplace I haven’t worked at for over 2 years- worked there for 7 years and people I worked with were a huge part of my life…
Or my entire estranged family of 11 years- they still get in my messed up dreams on daily basis even tho I don’t even think of any of them almost at all nowadays.
If high school was a bit traumatic for you I’d definitely recommend some kinda therapy if you can afford it. Even counselling could be helpful for you. Also working on a better sleep hygiene if your current one is messed up due to playing heartopia (like mine )… 😏
or if it’s really bad you should look into a therapy called EMDR. Extremely successful therapy for traumatic memories affecting our life even years later.

I’ve got ADHD and diagnosed insomnia as well myself. I’ve tried several medications and found only instant release melatonin kinda helps knock me out. I even tried the newest type of medication for sleep disorders called || deridoxerant|| and even attended insomnia CBTi in a small group and I found it absolutely useless and the meds gave me the worst nightmares in years 💀
