Reason for Ban: Failed to ahelp while captain was raiding NSFD outpost
Your side of the story: Joined the server as a mercenary on a ship near end of shift, cap said we were "looting sec outpost". Thought that was kinda toeing the line for piracy, but brushed it off. (For context, the Outpost is a bombable objective for syndies, putting it in the "POI" group. I thought.)
I don't take anything from the outpost because the crew had already finished looting it. Cap then starts talking about further piracy and I ask him if he actually got approval for this. He asks if he needs approval (Not good). I explain to him that he should contact an admin and request permission for piracy + explain that he didn't know about the rules.
Then I go back to breaking of the ship's closed safes to move the guns to the general stockpile and an Admin asks me what I'm doing. Although I figured the captain had already started talking to an admin, I explain the situation in ahelp nonetheless. Admin thanks me.
After about a minute I find a place to sit then go afk for dinner. I come back and I'm banned for not ahelping the situation immediately.
Why you think you should be unbanned/have ban reduced: Not asking for ban reduction, this situation just straight-up sucks ass and I didn't have a chance to talk with the admin once my ban had been decided.
Extra Notes: This is not an unreasonable ban when looking solely at my admin notes, but I had been hoping to play for more than ten minutes tonight lmao.
