@hexed blade uploaded a log, I installed create aeronautics + sable earlier today with axiom but my minecraft instance always crashes. Is there any way to work around this? (Axiom works fine when sable is disabled)

The game crashed: initializing game
Error: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Window 0x0 size out of bounds (max. size: 32768)

  • OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM, version 21.0.7
  • NeoForge 21.1.219 on 1.21.1 using 130 mods
  • System: Windows 10, AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (32.0.15.8157)
  • Memory: 157 MB / 4 GB
  • Shaders: TAA Project.zip - Custom (+1 option changed by user)

Possible Solutions:

  • Update NeoForge from 21.1.219 to 21.1.227

Recommendations:

  • Update Continuity from 3.0.0+0.0.1.n to 3.0.0.
  • Update Iris from 1.8.12+mc1. to 1.8.12
  • Update Yet Another Config Lib V3 from 3.8.2forg to 3.8.2

try removing veil

hexed blade
#

but all my crash reports and in-game say its installed

pearl token
#

try with only Axiom and create aeronautics

#

if that works try adding iris, sodium and the mod that has veil as its dependency back one at a time
and drop renderscale

Hm, it looks like it's explicitly inside your mods folder?

I was having this problem as well, its embedded

At what point does it crash?

@hexed blade uploaded a log,

  • OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM, version 21.0.7
  • NeoForge 21.1.227 on 1.21.1 using 55 mods
  • System: Windows 10, AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (32.0.15.8157)
  • Memory: 238 MB / 4 GB

Potential Culprits:

  • A component of the mod Axiom was found directly in the error
  • The mod Axiom has modified parts of the game which are present in errors within the log

Oh

Imgui conflict

hexed blade
#

what does that mean

rugged lark
#

Veil is using the same library I am, but a different version

hexed blade
#

so im assuming that means theres no work around until something gets updated?

rugged lark
#

Yes

was actually looking for a solution to this as well. is there a version of axiom where the IMGUI versions are the same? or more likely to be compatible?
I did try as far back as 4.0.0 to no avail, so I'm guessing probably not, but figured it'd be worth asking

rugged lark
#

There won't be

#

Axiom has always used the same imgui version

unfortunate, but understandable. thanks for the info

update on this, turns out Sable doesn't actually use any of Veil's imgui stuff (at least that I've seen so far, could be wrong, didn't dig through their repo to confirm though)

so you can actually open the jar using an archive manager (7zip, winrar) and just remove it pretty easily, which allows it to run alongside Axiom via Sinytra.

once you have the Sable .jar file open:

  • go to \META-INF\jarjar\veil-neoforge-1.21.1-3.6.0.jar
  • navigate to THAT jar's \META-INF\jarjar\
  • delete any jar files with "imgui" in the filename
  • edit metadata.json, leaving only the two non-imgui blocks in there (ensure the JSON formatting isn't broken, use an online JSON validator if you don't know what that means)
  • ensure the archive is updated/saved after you make those changes

seems to work fine, no issues so far. proceed with caution if you use this workaround though (naturally) and keep in mind that if Sable updates you'll have to do it again

# icy trellis doesnt work for me

you probably didn't modify the jar correctly, or you otherwise modified the jar in a way that made it unloadable. you have to modify the contents in-place, so without extracting it or modifying the compression within the file - "open archive" tends to be the wording for 7zip and so on, in the windows right click menu.

got it

#

i tought you cant edit a zip file

tulip badge
#

you can, the app just has to be able to update the archive after you make the edits. both 7zip and winrar are capable of doing that, it's just usually not a great way to do things for general files and whatnot. in this case it's necessary though.

nwm my software cant

kde team should work on its software

it's technically possible to recompress the extracted jar into a zip, but you'd have to ensure it's the same exact compression method that the jar was using previously. and that's probably just as hard to do (if not harder) so you're probably better off just using 7zip/winrar/something else that can modify the archive directly

for anyone else doing this on linux, use file roller instead of arc, works flawlessly

nwm

mabye its just incompatible with other sable addons

#

ohh

my modpack is just REALLY unstable
