#(SOLVED) [Pandora] Cannot launch 1.20.4 client with mods
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
try using java 21 or remove ScheduledTickVisualizer
hmm but how can i choose java21 for pandora launcher
i also saw moulberry said it shud select the correct java somehow
thats referring to the right java version for the minecraft version probably
if mods have weird requirements it wont adjust for that I guess
the ability to change was added in this stream #announcements message
maybe you need to compile the latest version yourself to get the latest changes
hmm sry i cant find the way to change the required java version
is it the JVM thing?
you could also uninstall all java versions but java 21
but i still have old version instances that i play on
so i cnt uninstall the other java versions
https://github.com/Moulberry/PandoraLauncher compile it yourself or wait for the next update
ill wait for next update ig
hmm is it possible if someone can share a compiled one to test out?
i found that in the folders there are like java-runtime-gamma that i think contains the java17
i tried swapping out content inside to java21 but it didnt work
also tried to delete the folder, it seems to jsut create a new gamma folder and maybe uses it
damn one thing that might be worth mentioning is, when using some modpacks that has default config and options files, it can overwrite existing config and options file
glad i had a backup options and config, otherwise will be super fked
thanks!
hmm, it still seems to force use java17 for me, where can i choose to customize java version?

net.fabricmc.loader.impl.FormattedException: Some of your mods are incompatible with the game or each other!
A potential solution has been determined, this may resolve your problem:
- Replace 'OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM' (java) 17 with version 21 or later.
More details:
- Mod 'ScheduledTickVisualizer' (scheduledtickvisualizer) 1.3.0+1.20.1-fabric requires version 21 or later of 'OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM' (java), but only the wrong version is present: 17!

idk if 2.6.2 includes that
idts, didnt see it in the video
maybe ill create an issue on pandora about this
does 2.6.2 have the section in the ui?
didnt see a java version selection in the launcher at least
not in settings either
send a screenshot of the instance settings
what is this JVM binary
ill just check it, then somehow choose the correct java version?
yes
yes
hopefully i did it right? do i need the JVM flags thing?
no
damn it actually worked
but its kinda hard to know that this button is used for java version selection tho
this is how its done in prism launcher
still, big thanks!
