@rose lynx (MacinteuchPlus) uploaded a log, I was experiencing some black screen issues in the editor menu after painting a lot of blocks, the logs pointed to an issue with Effective, after removing the mod the bug didn't show up anymore so I feel confident-ish with that conclusion, anyway here's the logs from when that was happening

Fabric 0.16.9 on 1.21.1 using 30 mods

Possible Solutions:

Update Fabric from 0.16.9 to 0.16.10

Recommendations:

Update Fabric API from 0.114.0 to 0.115.0

just the regular painter with a tool mask for it to only affect stone
