#Axiom not launching

Fabric version: 0.15.11
Axiom version: Axiom-1.5.1-for-MC1.20.2.jar
I attempted to run a curseforge profile with only axiom and fabric api installed, and once I got to the launcher and pressed play, I got this error. I also got a crash report, which I have attatched.

  • OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM, version 17.0.8
  • Fabric 0.15.11 on 1.20.2
    Recommendations:
  • Unless you know what you're doing, modifying your JVM args could have unintended side effects. It's best to use the defaults.
  • Update Axiom from 1.5.1 to 3.0.0

What are JVM args? I need to use 1.5.1 for compatibility with a server, so I would prefer to solve this without having to update.

why guess is that the fabric stuff is too new and axiom is too old... why can't the server also update?

It's a building server for another smp server on 1.20.2. That server is just designed for 1.20.2 I guess.

what does the minecraft version has to do with axiom version? there's way newer axiom version for 1.20.2

That's just the one they told me they were using, so I though I had to use that one. I will try with the newest version for 1.20.2.

it's always the best to use the latest, or at least close to latest as possible, 1.5 has been released months ago at this point

Now it's telling me that I need a commercial license to use Axiom on the server, I have checked with the server admins and they said I shouldn't.

if you don't make money with axiom and the server doesn't, you can apply to the whitelist, as the message says #whitelist-request

I assume because they aren't making money off it. It's a building server for the merchant's guild nation on the Jeracraft server.
