So i have this muti player server i want to use axiom on. and one day it will be a public minecraft gameing server im not selling any builds just making them for my own server. would that still be considerd a Commurial use. becuase i wouldnt be making any money off of axiom itself.

If you make money from the server that uses the build its commercial

so i would have to get a Commercial License. /25$/month?/server.

# neon summit only if you or the server monetizes their builds

But i wont be making money from the builds. here's a situation like lets say i have ranks for sale on my public server nothing at all to do with building or axiom at all. would i still have to get a commercial license. im not selling the builds or anything i do with axiom. axiom will only just be on that server. not making money from it.

ranks and sales would make money for the server > commercial use > server needs to organize commercial licenses for their players

if the server sells ranks, yes
but the server should do this for you
does the server even support axiom?

#

Is axiom installed on their end?

flint bough
neon summit

as long as you are not selling ranks or earning money in other ways with axiom you are fine

flint bough
#

im not selling ranks or anything with axiom axiom might just be a plugin for OPs that build. im not making any profit off of the builds.

flint bough
# neon summit ranks and sales would make money for the server > commercial use > server needs ...

so this brings another question i have if i got a license for axiom and added the plugin and did some builds and edits with it and removed the plugin would what changed stayed? and if so then would it be wrong to get the license for it build and then before i go public remove it? I'm just wanting to clarify because i do think its an amazing thing i just want to see what's right and wrong here.

after removing the plugin/mod everything you have build before persists bc axiom just simplifies vanilla mechanics
getting the license and canceling the subscription on launch is fine iirc

#

you should get the license first if you intent to earn money through the server tho

flint bough
#

i do plan on it but it would be alright to buy it use axiom then cancel before launch?

neon summit
#

yes, as I said

Paper Plugin

The Paper Pugin can be downloaded on the Axiom Paper Plugin Modrinth Page.
Ensure that you have the right version of the plugin to match with the protocol version of the mod (Mentioned in the changelog). Preferably you should always be on the latest versions.

flint bough
#

is there another plugin i need to get it to work?

neon summit
#

no

flint bough
#

becuase i tried adding it to a privet build server but its not working?

neon summit
#

run /whynoaxiom
dou you have permission plugins?

flint bough
#

yes

#

also its not showing that as a command

neon summit
#

is it a paper server?

#

or spigot/bukkit?

flint bough
#

paper

neon summit
#

you need to have it on your client as well btw

flint bough
#

oh?

neon summit
#

the fabric version for the client
paper version for the server

flint bough
#

so if i use modrinth just add it to it?

neon summit
#

yes it should automatically install fabricApi with it this way

flint bough
#

ok so i added axiom to my minecraft itself and the plugin to the server. so it should work?

neon summit
#

yes

#

with permission plugin you might need to add the axiom.* permission
dunno the exact wording

flint bough
#

mm alrighty

#

ill see what i can do.

You get a trial that lasts 30 days when you install it, so you only need to look into it after you get the notification

#

Oh okay maybe I misunderstood

#

Yes you can remove Axiom once you're done with it

neon summit
#

doesn't matter
removing axiom wont affect your world files that's the point @flint bough

flint bough
#

Thanks I have a better understanding of what I needed I’m going to see how it goes with me and my build team and I’ll see about after that

Than you, hopefully it's useful in your project

I thought I'd ask here instead of creating a new topic since this is pretty recent, does showing axiom builds that are on a server on YouTube count as commercial use? Even if the video isn't monetised?
