I’ve never used world edit, never done 3D modeling, I never even play in creative. I say all this to say, Axiom is unbelievably intuitive and user friendly. I was playing around with the idea of map design and using the environment to guide the player along a path while maintaining a sense of freedom. This is such an amazing tool, and I applaud everyone involved in making it what it is. Thank you 🙏🏽

Gotta say this is much better than most people when they're starting out 👏
this is a great start, dude! good luck with whatever youre trying to accomplish
Thank yall! I do wonder a couple of things from this experience. Is there an easier way to plant the trees? and cactus and things like that that I can't do with the clentaminator brush? I did try adding the acacia sapling, but then still had to run around with bonemeal. I know there are blueprints with custom trees but I'd like to be able to click and place natural minecraft trees.
Another thing is, I used the shatter tool in the rock wall that was simulating a boundary. Is there a simple explanation how I could set up the logic to paint inside of the hollowed out sections the shatter tool leaves behind?
I would like to fill those voids with things like ore and.... idk other things maybe
if you wanna be able to plant the trees on specific blocks then no afaik but you could get tree schematics and use the tool that allows you to paint blueprints
theres a pack online with schematics of all the vanilla trees iirc
Ah, ok, gotcha. That's what I assumed I'd have to do for that. Thank you 🙏🏽
i dont think i can help you here since i havent dived into axiom that far xD
i use worldpainter mainly and i havent built much in-game
Ah shoot lol ok, thanks anyway. It's funny, I hadn't even thought as far as setting up logic in something like a gradient brush for that until I was typing that msg 😅
well, from the very little experience i have with axiom i recommend learning the tools first by testing them out on something else
i didnt understand the autoshading tool from the video online so i learned by trial and error
I think I miiiiight be able to figure it out, but I haven't done much with logic. I have vaguely looked into it a bit because of minecraft, but I've only got maybe 2 years in the game now, and the first time I've really put actual hands on xp with it was last night when I was making this build 😅
For sure. This was just a test I had set up for myself trying to learn the tools
well, youre already getting off to a good start :)
@grave bobcat shatter tool has a checkbox that says "use active block" or something like that
It then uses your selected block instead of making holes
To plan vanilla trees I recommend downloading Willatronix's blueprint pack as it contains lots of vanilla assets. You can then use stamp tool to place many trees at once
Download it here https://discord.com/channels/1123229768087777330/1205862603650367508
I snagged that pack earlier, and I just got back to my testing plot to try some things. Thank you!
Np
This looks great! Maybe some broken-down carts along the road would be a nice addition?
@grave bobcat You can also use the stamp tool, you select the blueprints you want and configure the spacing to how you want it and then you simply paint with your trees. I think that is what reevzie was getting at but I don't think they specifically mentioned its name.
(Also oops I didn't mean to reply to your message Raf. my bad 😅 )
Yea, yea, I've downloaded the schematics, and also the height maps. I was just about to play around with the stuff some more. I had to leave earlier and didn't get to do much, but yea, this is insane
It is, Axiom opens up so many doors it is incredible! Make sure to keep us updated here though this is an exciting build you got here 😄
