The peaceful and beautiful island of Rosantica is under threat once more by a relentless evil. The magical barrier between Rosantica and The Scourge has started to crack, allowing dangerous creatures to slowly seep back in to try and take over the island. Flynn stumbles upon this invasion and discovers he must stand up against The Scourge to stop its spread into Rosantica. Accompanied by his mythical companion Dex, Guardian Spirit of the Land, Flynn will be challenged by the evil from The Scourge and its powerful overlord.

The patch is applied successfully, and the game runs. However, selecting any language other than English causes the game to crash.

I figured it was an issue with GOG achievement integration. But it seemed like everything I tried failed. But then again, what I don't know about messing with UTMT could fill an encyclopedia… set.

Tested a bit on my RG353V with ArkOS, patching went good and got in game and moved around a bit. Will test it more today in a couple of hours

Yup so there is a scr_init which relies on the gog plugin to define… removing that dependency has broken the options/language file

Played about 30 minutes on the TSP on Knulli and I didn't experience any issues. My device has an overclock, so that might help out with performance.

So use the files from the 'open file location' by right clicking the desktop icon after its installed right? Don't use the installer itself.

That is correct. They are in separate save files. But basically the config file is overwritten to default at each startup

Other than that, it’s actually quite playable.
But it seems like the key mapping for A/B and X/Y is reversed.

That is better then just edit out the xdelta portion of the patch script when installing on your device

But to get pass the gog cloud saves/initialization i may have taken a shortcut and predefined values to get the game running

I created a new xdelta patch and replaced the old one.

After running it on the device and changing the settings, I checked the configuration file again. The file itself is saved correctly, but it seems that the settings are not being loaded on the next startup
