Same situation like Crane Attack.
I need to give some feedback to Developer.
He mentions some things like onscreen controls, disabling two player mode and disabling sunray but I don't see that as a problem.
Real problem is making colors in menu make more sense, first screen not working on start of the game and implementing a way to input IP number trough the d-pad input in network mode.

#

I set controls so you can play with two characters if you have two sticks

This has double inputs in UI. You need to open it in godot and switch that "built in actions" slider to on in the input mapping and dekete all of the Inputs. Don't delete the commands, just the buttons they're assigned to. Then you can make a patch fixing it. Unless you get R2R permission. Then you can just fix it and upload the game with the fixed pxk.

I can ask them to do this but are you sure it has double inputs? They should be blocked within .sh. What OS did you test this on?

even if so we should be able to remove them ourselves without asking them, that should be probably kept at minimum

I do but it doesn't fell like anything is doubled. Will check again but I didn't notice anything

#

I will edit .gptk later with empty inputs, maybe that does the trick

Does anyone know if export TEXTINPUTINTERACTIVE="Y" export TEXTINPUTNUMBERSONLY="Y" works in Westonpack? It would be nice to test if network mode works

Whops! Fixed

I made a new test for online play (direct IP connection required)
This is how it works:

  • select NETWORK in menu
  • move cursor down to IP NUMBER line
  • press Down+Start to activate number input
  • move up/down to change number, then right to do next number
  • press Start , press x to input dot then repeat number input process until you get it all (you can't combine the number input and dot so you need to exit it to enter dot)
  • y is backspace if you need to delete the number
  • then you press "HOST" on one device and "JOIN" on other

From the dev e-mail: "Also I'm not sure network multiplayer works and is worth it on your target devices, so I'd like to ask you to check whether it works at all. It should work between any two devices in local network as long as you host on one device and enter host's IP into the other. "

#

Having user edit line in .sh called export TEXTINPUTPRESET="My Name" then hitting Left+Start might be better but I wanted to try this one first

I can confirm connection works and I was able to link 2 handhelds (one knulli, one muos), but the crusty input blocker doesnt work and gamepad inputs just mess with menu controls and I wasnt able to just type the adress with gptk, so I used a wireless keyboard.

Thanks for the test. Crysty input blocker doesn't work durino online play or it doesn't work at all? I can play this game with player 1 and 2 on sticks just fine on muOS

Yeah it's wonky as hell but writing adress into .gptk or .sh with dingus commander is also wonky for user without keyboard
Will test more ways to make this work
Mapping button to the dot works at least even if it's ugly

I tried using normal TEXTINPUT but it was a mess to do numbers.
I will keep this current text input even if it is wonky
Tomorrow I will send e-mail to the dev and tell them they only need to give me permissions to use .pck files

Will try it on rocknix when I get home from work to see if it works there.

starts and runs on amberelec rg351v.
however, it's definitely dropping frames / laggy -- maybe the game is too much for an rk3326 (depending on what the player considers acceptable).
tbh, the game feels a bit janky overall -- navigating menus, etc. but i don't think this is an issue with the port.

You can try to disable sun ray in the options to see if it gives a little performance boost.
Didn't seem like a problem on RG35XX H performance wise

(or else face the army of disgruntled r36 users 😜)

I doubt that r36 users can read. What reasonable person would buy that console? You can't even tell if console is original or not
But yeah, I will add it to a readme

Get screenflickering and it stays at the first screen
