this might benefit from tweaking those lights that appear as you progress througl level, as it gets really slow on 3326 when there is too many of them

runs fine but seems like the game is not quite hitting 60fps in every cave/screen

does not affect gamespeed and gameplay however

I went to Fire.gd and there is

    $aura.visible = false
    $shadow.visible = false

Set all to false. But there are still some lights active (the static ones that are not triggered by player activity)
ANd I need to go to work, so I am out of time

Now I am trying to see if I can push it even further

This is pretty rad on muos 34xxh! I can test further into it this evening.

No it dont feel it plays full speed but then it's still super playable so far

if anything, when you filter scene "aura", there you can just delete that texture responsible for the glow. Im gonna play a bit with it just in case I can get it a bit faster while still being present

well nope, even if I reduce the aura to minimum it still tanks fps quite a bit on 3326. Not as much, bit still quite a bit. Best to remove it as I described.

Plus I accidentally used original player.gd in my updated files which crashes the game because of steam dep (I am glad nobody pointed it out yet )

I see that without internet in the console there is no point in even approaching. arkos works well but rk3326 does not cope well I played the tutorial the first 2 maps ok 3 already strong lags

removed aura also from fireballs, I havnt had patience to test much beyond, I randomly swapped a couple later levels to get into them, the only mild issue I saw is in level 5 where you start in the darkness and need to pickup head lamp lying on the ground in the right and it might be a bit confusing without the extra lights from fires to see where you are. I also checked the final boss, seems to perform fine. If there is something between.. well... It is what it is.

Regarding the mild issue in lvl 5 : the game gets dark when you change difficulty
