Sorry to be a burden, I'm learning how to use discord solely to solve this problem. I'm having the same issue pointed out here. I played the game quite a bit when it was first ported, and many JelOS/ArkOS updates later and I would click to play and it would spit me back out at the ports menu. I found that I needed to update the files that are provided here, I downloaded the zip, dragged them all into my ports folder, and hit copy and replace. I ran the game, got the startup menu, ran through the prompt, and then got the fatal error message. I went to the portmaster, updated/verified the mono runtime, tried it again, and no luck. I AM using legit game files, to save us all the hassle of determining if my game files are the issue, I got them from steam, but no longer have access to the steam account that they originated from. Is my issue that I need to update the game or am I having some other problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You have to provide the log files, otherwise it's hard to determine the problem. Also, you need to have updated files.
Still, if you don't own the game, and can't fetch updated and verified game files, I can't help you.

i did manage to finally beat the 2nd of the newer Tomb Raider games though, im up to the 3rd one.

I tried to use an uncompressed intro and while it doesnt drop frames it has some weird artefacting
whatever they did to encode the intro is... bonkers
converting it with most tools generate odd results
playback is spotty everywhere
Jelos x55 user here. I had an issue with hdmi out and rotated screen with an older version. But right now I am trying a clean install.
The auto patcher is running itself with the data I have from Steam. It takes about 20 min I suppose. Keeping my fingers crossed. In the time it takes to patch itself I have the time to write in the thread.
Just waiting with my fingers crossed. I hope it patches well. I'm sure it will. Hopefully the hdmi screen sideways issue is fixed with this update.

Does anyone know why inputs are disabled on this screen (which appears when booting up TMNT for the first time)? Only the d-pad on my powkiddy is enabled. I can't exit or confirm or anything (hard reset needed to get out of the screen).

the game is 16:9, and the entire game logic depends on it, the best you can do on some devices is change to fullscreen to stretch the image

Install the files required by portmaster on the console, and copy the game's data into ports/tmntsr/gamedata/.

Inside the portmaster, there will be the option of all games, you go to it and there will be a list of all the games available in the portmaster, scroll down to TMNT and click, the option to install will appear, After doing this, move the game folder to the indicated place.

I don't remember if the TMNT install checks for the mono library, one install instructions I found (which are mostly obsolete) directs you to do the install process for Stardew Valley (install the portmaster files, you don't have to actually install the game) because it will install the necessary library files. Do you know if the mono library file is installed?
I'm hopeful that has been updated since release. I remember reading that bit as well (some months ago). I do have Stardew installed / updated mono from my last attempt.
I'm also on the TSP, which might come with it's own set of issues. Sounds like worth troubleshooting again on my end if you got it working.
Yeah, I don't remember doing anything special, just copying the game files over and installing mono, but I installed it a while ago at the same time as about 20 other games so I can't remember exactly
Sweet - got it working on TSP with Epic's gamedata for Windows (1.0.0.349). TSP controls did not function after patch-launch but does after force shutdown (Power + VolUp).

Could anyone help with TMNT SR? Here is my log file. I am using an RGXXSP MUOS Banana. The compilation takes like 30 mins but it always crashes.
