#ROTA - Godot 3.5.2 Game
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
downloading now and will test later
First game with no runtimes included
Plays well on 353m ArkOS. A little stuttering but not bad. Jas a bit of a Fez vibe to it. Good job!
You can turn off the shadows in menu
I'll try that and let you know
Awesome
Original version by:

Portmaster Version:

For chat, discussion, support, collaboration and ports testing you are welcome to join our community of Portmaster Discord! See you on board! :)
Latest version of Harbourmaster can be downloa...
You can also turn down some graphics settings if it's lagging too much
Seems like that helped on 353. I turned off Shadow or turned down weather
Thanks for advise, it's not so smooth when turning around, but still very playable with default settings
jelos (0721) rg353p works great, no noticeable slow downs or lag on default settings, played through to unlocking <6> door
Need one more test on 351p then we're good to go 🙂
I was just about to get this running but you got it working on your end so it's all good!😁
@willow hollow It doesn't run well on the RK3326 line of devices. 😬
(just updated to jelos 0724, continues to work great)
@willow hollow I meant Mystik Belle not ROTA I haven't tested it yet! 😣
@willow hollow I can't get it to work on Arkos 353m it goes straight to menu. No log
have you updated portmaster yet?
Let me try that
this is the first godot port that doesn't bundle the frt runtime and uses it from the updated portmaster
Fart runtime
@night summit that did it. It was exactly that. Runs perfect now
If you go to options you can disable shadows
@misty obsidian so it seems if Itoggle the settings for shadows off ingame it runs well. Do you know where one would save settings defaults on Godot 3.5?
Awesome
Usually they create a folder on config or similar if I remember well, but I can check only later
In the worst case we can make the shadow off by default from engine(the exact opposite of now )
Look what I found lol!
I thought somehwere here https://github.com/HarmonyHoney/ROTA/blob/master4/src/menu/options/MenuOptions.gd
but no dice, also didn't see any config file
give me an hour and i can give a look
lul cheats
Will reduce the amounts of "this is slow" by 95%
😄
Where's all these godot games you promised me?
- I forgot my device at home 😄
2nd this is #1 😄
then i have to do all these :
https://discord.com/channels/1122861252088172575/1128691259175866449
Found the Godot folder
I posted the source code above
But there's no file rip
Yap, but before seeing the code I need to be home.
Now i have just the device
doing better than cebion then 😛
/storage/.local/share/ROTA-Harmony
found
the usual path is /storage/.local/share/godot/app_userdata but they changed it cause yes
Yeah that I know, just wanted to change it already in the program 😛
oh sorry
If not possible I can simply supply my own config file and link to it
technically should be easy, i just need to explore a bit
i'll give you a feed later
Didn't look long yesterday, but am not that familar with godot.
I get easily lost in the menus lol
from github it seems that the infos are in the file "shared.gd"
btw
file_save_json("user://save_data.json", save_dict)
func load_data():
var d = file_load_json_dict("user://save_data.json")
# convert keys to int
for i in d.keys():
save_dict[int(i)] = d[i]
this line seems a confirm btw
yap, i confirm, i just seen also the overide.cfg file in the file lines
btw, give a look or i'll give a better look when i'm home
Also have to wait until I'm home 😄
nice ahahaha
Like a fish without water
anyway, at least we found it
awesome
in these cases it's quite easy to sport the original script
@willow hollow maybe you need a work device and a home device
I think so
my 351v is in singapore
I usually do 30 min worktickets and 5 min device break 😄
pomodoro 🍅
if you see the option script you can see a "Shared.something". The first term is always the script of reference
Yeah
we need an pomodoro app port
k done
Sweet let me test it. Kthx
Cooking Mama: The Great Linux Port Adventure
In the mystical world of Siliconia, where data flows like rivers and software sprites dance in the skies, a peculiar kloptops named Kloptops boot-upped with an appetite for a nostalgic game.
Kloptops: “Cebion! Can you port 'Cooking Mama' to Linux for me? I have a craving for virtual cooking, and Windows just isn't cutting it.”
Cebion: “Hmm… Cooking Mama on Linux, you say? I've cooked up a few codes in my time, but this will be a recipe for…disaster, maybe?”
Kloptops: “Come on, every byte counts! Don't wok away from this challenge.”
Cebion rolled his processors. “Alright, alright. But if this doesn't pan out, it's on you.”
Cebion's Quest: The Great Library Hunt
Cebion's first step was to fetch the right libraries. He approached the great Library of Libs.
Librarian: “Ah, Cebion! Need some dependencies?”
Cebion: “Yes! I'm trying to cook up a port for Kloptops. He's in a stew about 'Cooking Mama'.”
Librarian: “Hmm… it's a soupy mess, porting that game. But take the SDL2 pot and the OpenGL spatula. That should grill it right.”
Cebion's Quest: Stirring the Kernel
With the right tools, Cebion set to work, but quickly realized the kernel was... undercooked.
Kloptops: “How’s the port coming along?”
Cebion: “It's a bit raw. The kernel's refusing to simmer down.”
Kloptops: “You've got to tenderize it, marinate it in some patches!”
Cebion: “Kernel first, patches later. I'm not about to scramble this operation.”
Cebion's Quest: Debugging Delights
Hours turned to days, and Cebion was swamped with bug swarms. He used his debugger like a chef’s knife, slicing through issues.
Kloptops: “Is that... smoke?”
Cebion: “Just a few bugs sizzling out. They're a bit... bug-borne.”
Kloptops: "Sounds like a recipe for chaos."
Cebion's Triumph
Finally, after much toil, the port was ready. Cebion presented it on a silver USB drive.
Cebion: "Cooking Mama, served a la Linux!"
Kloptops: "Oh, this is just byte-ful! You've truly baked up a masterpiece."
Cebion: "Well, remember, too many cooks may spoil the broth, but one good coder can whip up a feast."
They laughed, knowing their adventure was one for the logs. Kloptops was thrilled to virtually cook, and Cebion was just happy he didn't have to see another kernel panic... at least, for now.```
This is true masterpiece!! Will tell it tonight as bed time story for my kids!))
😄
Fucking lol
Preconfigured with low settings
