Sprites seem to refuse to update when a fusion evolves for the first time. In this instance, I had a Weedle/Rattata which evolved to Kakuna/Rattata and kept the Weedle/Rattata sprite. Then, when it evolved to Beedrill/Rattata, it was given the Kakuna/Rattata sprite
More frequently, the sprite will not change during the evolution screen, but then will be changed when I look at it in the party, such as what happened when my Piplup/Spearow evolved to Prinplup/Spearow
Turning off the "Ind. Custom Sprites" option appears to fix this problem. Turning it back on makes it resume the incorrect sprite lol

even with ICS, only the sprite in the evolution screen should be incorrect
like if you go in your party and the pokemon's summary, it should have been refreshed to show a valid sprite

Can't remember what else I would've done to change that
I'm also still experiencing this problem, started a new play through and every pokemon seems to change its sprite to a prevolutions sprite when it evolves
need to be more specific.
What version are you on ?
Do you have a screenshot to show the issue ? (screenshots of before/after evolution could be useful)
Is ICS (Individual Custom Sprite) being used ?
Can you provide the export of an affected Pokemon (its .json data) ?
