It would be really great if there were in game guides that would show how to propagate flowers in different colors, how to grow all the different crops, how to get all the colors of animals, where, and when the fish can be caught, etc. and so forth…as it stands now we have to go outside to other sources to get this information but it would be really great if it was right there on hand in game.

NPC dialogue contains most of the information about what fish/critters can be found, and what crops can be grown, in each season. And there's already a sidequest that teaches you how to propagate different-colored flowers.

That may be so, but guides are still necessary to get every color flower & animal, to propagate every fruit tree and to remember in what season, what weather and in what location fish can be found. If this were not so, there would not exist so many guides, articles and YouTube videos to provide that info.

For the fish you can always check your Almanac. It tells you where and when to catch them.
For the colored animals you just need to buy the charm in the color you like. Not really anything that needs to be explained in my opinion.
And for flowers or fruit trees a guide could be nice but it's not necessary. A lot of things you could find out by just trying but a lot of people are just too lazy to do that and depend on YouTubers and websites.
