Placing items on top of yourself can be buggy.. However you can go back into edit mode to try to attempt to move it. Or, you can pause the game and select the ladder icon at the bottom that reads, "Help, I'm stuck." option. When using this option, it should move you a block or two away from where you were stuck.

Wait, that “Help, I’m Stuck.” Icon is meant for literally being stuck somewhere in the map?! 🤣 (I was confused on what it was for…I thought it was just to show us tips from the loading screen.)
That’s awesome. 😂 I guess the ladder symbol makes more sense now. 😅
