More a quality of life thing, but for me when the animals group up it can be hard to pet or brush the correct animal and even when you have one on it's own, once you pet it you have to back away and come back to it to get the brush option. I think if you could click on the animal you want to interact with and then have the options available there to how you can interact with that animal it would be easier. Also having those big ugly indicators over the animals saying you can shear them or milk them isn't ideal. If you have enough resources from them and just want to keep the Woolyhorns floofy you have to look at that indicator all the time floating above them. I'd rather the option to shear them be in a crafting station like pop up after clicking on the animal. This would also stop people from accidentally petting an animal while they're trying to click on other stuff near their animals. I know for me I've been trying to water my crops and an animal was near me and even though I didn't click on the animal it made me pet them.
#Animals interactable similar to crafting stations.

I absolutely hate the animal interaction mechanics in this game. I find myself daydreaming of Stardew Valley where I could run around the bar holding the B button and pet everybody in the barn. I find myself thinking "I wish this was like Stardew Valley" about so many of the mechanics but this and the mine mechanics frustrates me the most.
Agreed. The thing that bothers me the most that I just found out today is when I pet a woolyhorn the option won't show up unless I shear them. And sometimes I don't want my woolyhorn to be sheared or maybe they can be sheared everyday but we can still see their fluffy fur. Tbh I would even be okay with that lol. I feel so bad for them and they look funny.
I also dislike that brushing/milking/sheering is the same button as the magic scythe on switch. The amount of times I have cut all my pretty food area I made when trying to care for the animals is crazy.
I'm kind of hoping they add something like a cow brusher to the barn, and an egg tumble for the coop. It'd be a nice QOL upgrade for when I don't want to see every animal individually.
At the very least letting the dropped animal products like eggs stack for a few days when I choose to ignore the animals
Wait is that not a thing sometimes? I'm pretty sure this happens when I check on them everyday but it seems with cotton, wool and eggs sometimes I get 1, sometimes 2 and I think sometimes 3 but it might just be 1 or 2.
You have a chance of multiples daily if they have higher happiness and you have higher animal skill. Currently I can go collect each day and get 1-5 from each nest, but if I skip a day its still 1-5 the next day, rather than 2-10 or whatever 2 days worth would be. Its especially annoying since we can upgrade the food to last 10 days, but I still have to go daily to get the stuff. In Stardew I can go into the coop every few days and collect stuff without missing out on any.
Ohhhh I see what you mean now. Thank you for explaining that. I was hoping it was something intended to happen and not a bug or something so yay! Oh wow that's cool.
