You started late 2022, aka the absolute worst shitshow this site ever endured. Not a good representative of what the site was like for the previous 3-4 years

Rivalries and muh competition just means more cheating, no thanks

Turks arent following the rules, ban evasion and proxy abuse is rampant in minimap, imagine how much worse itd be if they get rewarded

There is so much still unfilled on the canvases, any mass of new players still wont change anything, theyll all ho to the east mediterranean contamination zone and shit it up as usual

Also no new factions are gonna form, its just gonna be the 57th epic comeback of whichever countries got wiped out this cycle

To bring back old players would mean addressing why they left PPF in the first place.When i came here during that 2022 surge many were leaving over getting their stuff ruined with incessant C+ spam.That problem has largely been addressed now with the advent of the minimap and a decline in Turkish numbers for various reasons.I find many leave over the massive time drain PPF is and how that effects them IRL.I know this pressure is often self inflicted but it’s still a factor.Player retention could be better,it’s illogical really for a user to stay long term if they are mentally stable.It would be nice if some of the oldfags that left still dropped into chat even if they have had enough of the whole pixel side of things.

As for attracting new players that can come with growing pains.Even though some like to think of PPF as a good place to make eadgy art that does not seem to be the main pulling factor for new users.Most new users come with shield and sword in hand to answer the call to arms for whatever pixel conflict takes their fancy as i and others did when Styxhexenhammer mobilized his followers during the Truk wars of 2022.To attrack new users PPF would need tp get it’s name out there more which would bring it’s own problems considering it’s edgyness which is the best thing about it and there not been a appetite to promote the site in other places.If it’s to grow beyond it’s niche status and be healthy growth as opposed to a wave of tiktok generalisimos comimg and ruining everything then where and who it’s promoted to will be key!

I discussed with some others in PPF chat a while ago about Count Dankula makimg a special episode about PPF.I know he would love something like the PPF story of all the lore etc. was chronicled for him.No doubt something like that would bring lots of new users that would at least check the place out

Like if’s a game and human instinct wants to make it a game even if it’s not then where are the rules to this game?

Any attempt to make any type of formal structure like some NAP protocol for instance has been torpedoed.Now a lot of the same people who castigated such a formal system are now the most nostalgic ones when saying that things were better before

or really anyone, as soon as you find there is more to the world than your bedroom and drop your chauvinistic views, you find literally any other hobby and stop playing ppfun

id also argue the turkish faction and probably also the other balkan factions lost a lot of people due to in faction fighting
you cant bring those kind of people back
nor the people who lost trust in the games moderation
