No, it's a bad idea. Ranking encourages people to farm pixels, to place pixels for the sake of placing pixels. Separate ranking doesn't change that.
With no ranking, the only reason you'd build something on Thoia would be if you have some art idea.

I don't see how ranking would encourage art. The fastest most efficient way to climb the ranks is to just place single color non-stop, without any thought. Finding an art to build or even pixalating it yourself is just sub-optimal to climb the ranks. Time you spent searching for art could've been spent vomiting pixels.
