I'm trying to port my minecraft map into cs2 - in blender everything looks fine, but when exporting it into obj and importing in cs2 some faces just disappear for some reason.
I have tried triangulating mesh on export but that doesnt help - some triangles disappear
Here are screenshots in blender and hammer

are the normals facing in the correct way?

in one of the drop down menus in the top right corner of the 3d viewport in blender there's a face orientation checkbox

#

red means it's facing the wrong way

all blue :(

Sometimes faces get destroyed on import

#

I recommend triangulating it first

#

@willow marten see how triangulating it works out

#

If that doesn't work, try edge splitting everythingggg and exporting > importing

#

then just merge by material

triangulating didnt work, but edge splitting did! thanks a lot
but uhh idk how to properly merge them after i imported

#

nvm i should simplify mesh before i import

oh, to fix fucked uvs, hit "extract faces" when they're all selected

#

this just fixes the uvs for some reason

doesnt help :(

#

works only on faces facing up

#

is it bad if i just leave them unmerged? :p

#

it wouldve been nice if Align to grid worked
it almost works i'd say, but it sets 0,1250 scale where i need 0,0769
