its almost the shadows are backwards, where they start faint close to object and get darker on the edges. it should be lighter on the edges and dark close to object
what are your light_environment settings
and are you compiling on fast
fast compile can make those weird Shadows sometimes
have you tried recompiling
sometimes this is just a glitch with vrad
other than that, make sure you only have one light_environment. check with entity report
Fixed. For future reference. This is what happens when the sun is at "65" instead of "-65". it was upside down. Thank you friends.
And yes... sometimes I have to delete the light_environment and make a new on randomly on maps i open. I don't know why; they can glitch out for me sometimes.
If you are using h++ the light_environment will need a rebake in hammer after each compile. For me at least it goes from light to full bright
- The rebake is in hammer++ right? (not in reg. hammer)
yeah
- Oh, I had no idea I had to "rebake" after a compile. That seems strange to me. Are you saying that is simply for the hammer++ viewer window, or does it effect the actual complied map later on?
only the viewer
if you have lighting, and you compile. The map will apear full bright in hammer
I'm expecting Src2 to fix some of this stuff for me, but as i'm not having access yet, i still want to do some work
and, yeah, i mostly haven't cared much about the full bright. probably because i'm still in early development
Unless I am mistaken and the BSP is fullbright at times and you have to re-add the lighting
hmm. are you using Source2 yet?
