#Help Compiling/Running Map

So I tried setting up Hammer++ for Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer so that I could make more campaign-style maps for HL2 rather than for Garry's Mod.

I followed the installation instructions in the README.txt file that came with the file I got when downloading it off the official website specifically for Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer, and I thought it worked. But when I try to run the map, it compiles normally but does not boot up the game despite having the executable for HL2 set in the correct place in the configuration for Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer

When I try to compile and load the map with Run Map in Engine Fullscreen or Run Map in Engine Windowed selected in the Run Map [Expert] menu, it pops up with an error message which will be displayed as the image for this post. I'm not sure what it means, but if anyone has an idea of what it means or how to fix this issue, please do let me know

I'm not sure how to fix this, but anyone's help would be great, and a timely response to my problem would be greatly appreciated

PS:
The error message does not pop up when any other option is chosen besides the two listed in the previous message in the Run Map [Expert] menu

if your mapping to creat a small mod i would use maplabs template https://www.moddb.com/downloads/map-labs-mod-template extract the contents of the zip to the source mods folder set up default hammer so you can map and load a level from it , then reinstall the H++ for source sdk2013 SP and then when you start H++ it'll be configured with the settings from the default hammer and you can map straight away without doing any thing else

Mod DB

This is the template provided to create maps for Map Labs mapping competitions. Entrants are highly recommended to use this!

I wasn't planning on making a whole mod, just a basic map, but I guess might as well go the whole mile while I'm at it lol

you could set H++ to map for sourcetest \Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer\sourcetest i think thats the only game folder in \Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer\ that has game dll's for the map will load with out the could find libery client error

I did what you told me, but it didn't do anything. Nothing changed. It still doesn't boot the map. Am I missing something?

You-
You can do that??
I thought it was restricted to the Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer

#

While I'm here, how do I uninstall ReShade? I think it's screwing with the 3D view in Hammer

#

And a handful of other things

#

I don't even know if it'll run yet but we'll see

#

after I fix the ReShade thing

#

Ok because of my crippling impatience I went ahead and attempted to boot the map with Hammer++ and everything put in the Half-Life 2 folder instead reguardless of ReShade, and it still doesn't work. It gives me this message which makes no fucking sense because the directory/file does exist because I was just fucking there

putting the map file in that exact directory

#

I just don't understand

#

The directory is perfectly accessible and everything and yet it insists that it doesn't exist

With the file extension .vmf

#

Insteal of .vmf_autosave

Ok, that fixed it. Thank you. Now all I need to do is take care of ReShade

#

Would you happen to have any valuable input that could help in that regard?

Bro I searched my entire disk and there is no results for ReShade. So then why the hell is it still active in Half-Life 2???

#

Maybe I should just validate the game files...?

#

Idk man I'm grasping for traws here

#

Nope. Validated the game files. Still ReShaded

#

Alright, that's it. Reinstalling Half-Life 2
