#change default walls

the grid size determines its dimensions
it's size in the axis you don't see in the viewport you place it in is the same as the object you had last selected
i am very stupid and don't understand either of these answers sorry
the lines in the 2D views are the grid
smaller grid, more lines
larger grid, less lines
the default grid size is 64 units
so to get a block (brush) thinner than 64, you lower the grid size
these icons on the left side of the icon bar at the top of the screen change the grid size
- for lower, + for higher
it increases/decreases the grid size by a power of 2
so at the default 64, lowering the size once will change it to 32
doing it again will change it to 16
in the 2D view that you create the brush in, the box you make will snap to the current grid
but in the other views, it'll use the size of your previous selection
so say you have a brush that's 128 units tall
and you select it
if you then create a brush in the top view (the one on the top right), the brush will have the length and width of the box you dragged out, but it'll be 128 units tall
because that was how tall your previous selection was
this same behavior applies if you create a brush in one of the side views (bottom left and right)
it'll use the length or width of the last selection
couldn't explain it better
