You can use an areaportal there to really stop it from loading in.

Be aware of an areaportal leak though

tbh, I've never really used hint brushes.

Hint/skip will load everything past it's fully capped spot once it's in view in any amount

#

Check to see:

Is there any other openings or entrances that lead to other areas? (is the area you are trying to optimize sealed?)
Try moving it back a bit and see if it hides it then

Do a diagonal hint cut on the other side too

Though I would argue it’s alright to leave those drawn, it’s only a few boxes
