A new merchant will upgrade your gear to the maximum level for 200,000 gold. You will find him in front of the Wizard City Library.

2 issues with this

1. not all gear is made for Max level
2. it removes the whole grind better gear aspect of late game wizard101, why do the new content when you can just spend some pocket change

Actually I think this is a good idea for certain pin gear.

For example the atavistic wands have amazing item cards. It’s really lame that you lose em once you upgrade to the level 100 gear that lacks em.

If I could upgrade this type of gear so I can keep the item cards whilst still improving my stats, then we’re looking good.

Oh I agree with that completely, but it does completely circumvent the grind associated with new gear pieces.
Why do the new world or raid if you can spend gold to get it instead

Have it cost pollen motes when upgrading from 60 -> 100

Low level pin gear is probably the few pieces of gear that this world actually work for

This could be an excellent way to add pin gear for the intermediary levels. Level 80 atavistic gear anyone?

Wouldn’t have to wait until arc 4 for an upgrade after Khrysalis

They’d have to add that gear regardless. So more on their plate 🤷
