Share what your least favorite pet bodies/types of pet bodies here.
We aren't talking visuals, mainly stuff like pet body spell card/spell card amounts, stats, stuff like that

This is a bit hard/odd to answer for me, since it's more about what I DO like on pets, as opposed to my least favourite. I feel like any pet with a card that is either a buff, or something like sharpened blade or potent trap etc, has it's uses, and the others are just pretty negligible?

Unless the pet Item card is going to be usable in end game circumstances I see like 0 reason to invest the energy, time, and resources into it.

I think 3 cards per pet card is a good amount, since it allows you to not have too many, but also be able to choose not to use some of them if you don't need so many.

In terms of stats, unless the plan is to increase the total base stats a pet can have, I don't think it matters too much, multiple hatches will level out the stat pool/talent pool and mold them into what you're looking for out of them anyways.

TLDR: I like pet cards that will provide me with more stackable buffs, or spells that are unobtainable through normal circumstances. ICs should standardize to around 3 cards per pet.

also hybrid pets with different school combos that give the same item cards on every variant, say like the orthrus hybrids (grimtooth, frosthound, jade hound etc) all give orthrus

Gotcha, in that case for most disliked would probably be just an inverse of what I said here..

I'll continue to make pets for visuals as well as item cards separately, but something like the fun guy is really just like... disappointing card-wise. Love the body, think he's a fun silly guy. I will literally never put that accurate card in my deck LOL

I also agree with tele, pets with 1 pip or even 2 pip basic hits that everyone will get within the first little bit of gameplay seem silly

also please give this silly guy at least 2, preferrably 3 cards, i'm beggin out here. I wish i had any use for it when I was levelling him up, but I'd have to have such a small deck that it felt too unreliable

that's off topic now tho LOL

I agree with Paige, I dislike the Apophi's Scarab and the other variants. They give the same balance beetle.
For me, I usually put pools on a pet body based on school or item card. Although I think they're cute, I am demotivated to do anything with those three because of identical cards

#

I also don't like pet bodies if they have inconsistent eggs with their school
ex. Snowflake has a pyromantic egg. I like the pet body and have put talents on it before, but I like indicators to have an idea on what I received before double checking in my inventory

  • opossum (again, for mainly arc 1)

I will say having exclusive pets with "bad" spells feels the worst. Like we are paying crowns or dedicating time to get a pet that we won't be able to actually showcase without giving up a invaluable spell.

Most item cards on their respective school + body doesn't make sense

#

Wand hits on some of the pets are rediculous

boreal tulip

In general:
In terms of cards, most people dislike pets that give hits (especially basic ones) because we can't enchant them in standard PvE and 99% of them do only slightly better damage than the standard non-enchanted version.
Standard Auras, shields and negative charms follow similar thinking - we already have them as spells or readily available TCs or don't need them at all because of the general style of gameplay.

So most people go for pets that give buffs (blades, traps) because they stack with other buffs, utility (shatter) or unique cards found only in item card/TC format so impossible or very hard to get.
Of course, pets with no cards are disliked the most.

In terms of flags, people dislike Exclusive pets locked behind Crown Shop and Raids. Also non transferable pets between characters. And also school only pets specifically since it's being hypothesized that some of them behave as Exclusive pets (or much lower chance of getting them than we should) when trying to hatch for them when we are the school that can't equip it.

In terms of talents and stats, most people have gotten used to 1st Generations being pretty bad.
Everyone wants the highest achievable stats on their pet for best stats on their wizard.
Talent pools have gotten better recently for example on Weaving pets, Kit-10s, ... with more useful talents.
Derby is dead so nobody cares about Derby Powers.

#

For hit cards, buffing the hit values (for standard content), changing them to Path B (for advanced content) or giving unique new hits or extra effects could convince players to use them.
Basically, making them unique compared to trained spells or TCs we can buy from vendor or Bazaar.

fair dagger
#

School only equitable pets are really annoying as well! The spells given by the body will already determine what class it will go on - limiting what school can equip it just makes it less accessible to create since more often than not people want to create those pets on their main character that has energy gear and not on alt school-specific characters.

boreal tulip
#

Also, the fact that Dapper Corgi is the only pet that gives +8 Energy. Everyone uses it as Energy pet for that reason. Maybe more pets that give +8 Energy? Doesn't need to be more Energy than the Corgi gives, just more options. Ideally with Fishing/Gardening cards to pair it with.

boreal tulip
#

If you want to retroactively fix old pets, add cards to pets that don't have any and replace some Arc 1 hits with either Path B or something more enticing.
I would say most modern pets have been pretty good and unique. It's the old ones that are boring mostly.

Not so much pet bodies I dislike in particular, but I feel like pets moving forward, we should have cards that are more universally useful or is more useful to particular classes. The skeleton hybrids was a perfect example of giving each class a useful all around pet. More variety like this encourages people to step out of the typical trends like frillasaurs, enchanted armament etc that just doesnt have as much appeal but has useful tools at their disposal. Outdated spells like taunts, ice/frozen armor etc just isnt up to snuff with the rest of the game. Hope in the future we can see a more cards on pets that has been locked to only pieces of gear, like professor pack and mass feint, incindiate etc. That would tempt me more so to be on the pet chase, be it to farm or purchase.
