This cantrip is the only one of its kind that specifically will do damage or buff to a specific school, which happens to make them inconvenient for use in combats where a fire would benefit from having them. In the case of daemon, its a trap fight but if you use fiery explosion to setup cyclops or a scion then it will clear any traps that have been setup by the fire wizards, which contradicts the whole point of having the cantrip in the first place.
#Make fiery explosions moon (or some other non-descript) school damage

Yes also make restoring rain moon blades and the dual strikes be moon traps
huh?
Maybe make it Shadow damage? Shadow blades/traps are rare and DoTs for it already exist. (extra nonsense with Hematites is a nice bonus too.)
Why would Restoring Rain and Dual Strike be moon?
Alternatively could make it a bomb since its “explosion”
yeah i think bomb makes the most sense here
unless they are planning on changing how those work
Easy solution is to make the DOT chromatic damage that attaches to the school of the casting wiz. Or make it a universal school no one is dominant in like
, it’s already part of the schools lore to be similar to
chromatic damage that attaches to the school of the casting wiz
You can't control which wizard casts the spell if there are multiple in the duel circle already
What I meant was more that it deals DOT of the school damage of the wizard who ends up casting
I know, but that might end up breaking traps on a target if it ends up picking the hitter's school
