Not only is it 2 different Energies

NEITHER of them are Dragon

Yeah that's how it works

Dragon types are sort of like a different type outside of the normal type map

You'll notice that dragons have no weaknesses and no type resists them

So dragons also secondarily get balanced in this version of Pokemon TCG by being a massive pain to use and somewhat wildly inconsistent (the need for two different specific energies)

And then all the different dragon cards use different energies too so you can't just slap any dragons together

See: Giratina dragon version that uses Psychic and Grass

Or drudigon which uses Fire Water

Garchomp with Fighting Water

It kind of ends up making dragons in Pocket quite mediocre or bad compared to other types

Especially since they've all been non-EX and have multiple evolutions often

Why not just make them their secondary typing?

Or put them under Normal like they did for 15 years

Pokemon in TCG pocket don't have visible secondary typings, they're collapsed into one typing for simplicity. And dragons already have two typings kind of, based on the energies they use

It would muddy the normal types and make the game more confusing

Flying types are already collapsed into normal with Electric weakness

And vanilla Normal types have fighting as a weakness

Putting dragons into normal would now make a 3rd subtype but with no weakness, and normal types also use colorless energy for attacks

Dragons exist as their own type like how Balance wizards exist outside of the magic circle

Is it just me, or is Ultra Thrusters kinda OP? Like yes you're reliant on UBs, but it seems unfair

Ultra Thrusters is definitely very strong

You preserve a lot of tempo and get a lot of playmaking potential

As well as negating much of the tempo delaying from Swaps like Sabrina and Repel and Cyrus

The downside is obviously that Celesteela itself isn't very good

And that you're reliant on ultra beasts yeah

But it's good for sure
