There is now no longer any downside to joining late I don't think this is intended?
Perhaps this is a bug that will be fixed alongside the numerous other bugs?

This fight never had late cheats. Nothing about this mob has been touched since creation

Was the way backlash is handled when joining late and/or during the planning phase perhaps changed?

That would explain the change without Lightbane ever having been touched directly

I dunno what sort of Mandella effect is going on here, but I promise you... these are all the files involved with the cheats of this fight and not one of them has been modified

If there's come code that changed this update that would have affected this fight, that's possible but I'm not sure what that could be

thats actually really interesting, because the old way people used to beat him was to just have someone flee and come back the same turn and he would summon a new minion + hit himself for 25% max hp dmg, which has been reported to no longer be working. I am curious if his spells he uses got changed in the cheats or if backlash got changed in some functionality. Thanks for the info ❤️

Yeah to be fair I don't think what people are missing was an intended, programmed part of the fight

Joining on planning phase just reset backlash and therefore cheddar ensued

The only spells that were modified in this hotfix were the Auras cast by the Trident Rematch, so not a spell change

If its gone something clearly changed but it didnt have to be to Lightbane specifically, that's just the one place people would notice it

Ah the cheese... Well I don't want to tell you how to cheese more, but I unfortunately know why the strategy you're using works, and it won't work every time. It's possible y'all just got unlucky idk. It probably still works tbh... unfortunately...

I'm sorry but I wouldn't call it unfortunate, Lightbane is perhaps the most obnoxious of the GSKBs 😭 😅 Its more mercy rule than cheese strat
