#Stun Rework for PvE based on Creature Species

There's been a consistent debate/request for stuns to be more viable in PvE, but in a way that's easy to understand for the player and not unbalanced, so here is my take on how stuns can be reworked for PvE only, they would remain banned in PvP/Advanced Combat. Since Beguile is linked to stuns, this would also change what enemies are resistant/immune to beguile as well.

Stuns would be based off the creature type of the creature. If a creature has multiple types, priority is given to the type which has the larger resistance to stuns. The three categories that all types fall into are Stunnable (No stun resistance at all, stunning these creatures gives them 1 stun block, with bosses getting 2 stun blocks), Stun-Resistant (20% stun resist, bosses have 50% stun resist. Stun-resistant creatures get 2 stun blocks when stunned) and Stun-Immune (100% stun resistance, cannot be circumvented)

Overall, if the creature is organic they can be stunned. If the creature is a larger, more resilient living creature, they are stun resistant. If a creature is an object or some other being, they are stun immune. A full list of every creature type is below for Stun-Resistant and Stun-Immune creatures. All final-world bosses/major world bosses (Such as The Scorpion) will be stun-immune regardless of what is written below:

The fairly long list of stunnable creature types

#

Also I didn't mention it in the post but any creature with literally no creature type/an unknown creature attached to them that isn't a major world boss is stunnable, like Dr. Demented

I love this one

#

given they're creatures as well, despite not having animus of any kind, would minions also have this treatment?

Probably could just go ahead and make minions and polymorphs stunnable since I think they're not actually classified as any creature type, not entirely sure

the wiki puts Minions into their own classification, but I'm pretty sure that's just to have every single minion in one place.

I just remembered Beastmoon, would this change apply to that?

I think this is a fine suggestion and allows decision making from the player when adjusting their deck appropriately for the boss. Allowing the player to strategize around the enemy type could extend even further than just stuns tbh if this was something KI wanted to build upon but for rn yeah I think this would be cool

#

Maybe their type could be included in their overhead name as well? Not sure if it’d be too wordy but something like “Rank 20 Equine”

Wait, there are two entirely different sized Grendels. How would that work?

Maybe the game could use some enemy type condensing too tbh lol because boar and pig for example is slightly redundant

Most grendels are small and the only relevantly strong grendel in the story are the ones that are major world bosses anyways so
