This is something that's bothered me for multiple years now. The Halloween quests have dialogue implying that there is a chronological order to them, that is, that one quest follows another on-and-on until the end, but every year that they are released, they are each put out all at once. I don't know if this is an actual "bug" or not, but it's distracting and hurts the immersion, especially if you accidentally break sequence and go in the wrong order.
#Halloween Quest "Chronology" issue

I also do not expect this to be fixed this year, to be clear - especially given that it's two weeks into October, but I wanted to put this out there. It's a minor issue, yes, but it should also be a minor fix.
I might be wrong but I think they are chronological the first time, but the pre req stays even when they reset each year
so if you completed the pre req the previous year, you retain it
Jewel king is correct. They're only chronological for people doing the event for the first time.
Afterwards they're released all at once so that players can choose which event quests they'd like to do.
That seems kind of pointless though. If a player's going to quest through them then they'd probably be doing them all anyway. The rewards are the same.
Well no, because the only one that gives actual rewards is the one that give you the Plain Pumpkin Mask. All the rest give basically just gold. The first time any wizard does these quests they're forced to do all of them in order, but after that, whenever they refresh, the only prerequisite for unlocking say, "Blink and Yer Red" is for that wizard to have cleared the prerequisite quest (Which they have)
You don't just magically lose the clear status for "Apple In Yer Eye" once the quests are returned, so you automatically meet the prerequisite for "Blind and Yer Red"
What does that have to do with what I'm saying here? I'm not asking for the technical reason behind it, I'm saying that for the sake of immersion, it shouldn't happen. If the order of completion is unimportant, then there's not really any reason not to keep their chronological order for the sake of immersion. If a player wants a pumpkin hat then they would have kept it during their first Halloween event so I don't think that skipping all of the quests for that is a good argument either.
That said, if there was some kind of visual indicator for the chronological order of the quests, I'd be OK with that too. I'm not going to memorize the original order for these yearly quests but I would like some way of knowing what the order is each time.
And before it's brought up, no, I'm not interested in Googling it or whatever. Having to do that for the sake of immersion is antithetical.
We're explaining the technical reason for it because you put this under the Live Bugs tab when it's not a live bug and is intentional. If you'd like you can move this post to the suggestions tab for the team to look at it.
I don't mind that. Like I said, I wasn't sure if it was a genuine "bug", but I thought it'd be something that you could describe as a bug.
Especially if it's not intended.
How would I move it though? Would I need to repost?
I'm not entirely sure, but I believe you would need to yes.
I might do it later. I'm not at the point where I feel it's a crucial change, it's just a pet peeve I've had over the years.
