Spinning Scythe, Balance's new 5-pip hit.
While I'm not apposed to this spell, I don't see it having a role anywhere in balance's spell pool.
We have:
Brave Sir Badger - 5 pips (1 school pip)
- 80 Less Damage than Spinning Scythe at tier 1, but you get a 25% outgoing damage aura
Ninja Piglets - 4 pips (1 school pip) - on average deals only 5 damage less at base, but costs a whole pip less
Judgement - X pips - given 5 pips, deals 30 more damage, and is more flexible being an X-pip spell
Samoorai - 5 pips (1 school pip) - B path does more damage and gives the player a ward as well
Rainbow Serpent A - 5 pips (1 school pip) - It's an off-school hit that is an AOE
Rainbow Serpent B - 5 pips (2 school pips) - Selected Target spell that does more damage, and has conditional buffs
Savage Paw - 5 pips (1 school pip) - does more damage and gives the player a blade as well
Scales of Destiny - 5 pips (2 school pips) - An off-school multi hit spell that does more damage than scythe, and path B does more damage and has echoes
Gearhead Destroyer A - 4 pips - At max tier, this does only 55 less damage in exchange for costing 4 pips
Spectral Blast B - 5 pips - does only 70 less damage hitting off-school with an echo that can give the player chromatic pierce charms
If you see a use case for Spinning Scythe, please let me know, I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
